So as I wait until I am reasonably used to a vehicles character before getting stupid, I have up until last Friday not attempted a real burnout....Holy Cow!!....tire melting fun.....the Whipple 550 has made this my favorite car ever...wait it was before that...ummmmm...

Thanks SAI and Bud!!!...1/4 throttle is all it takes to decimate some rubber...I am loving this thing!!!!

You can light them up no clutch just by nainling the throttle....too fun!!!!

Hmmm...that sounds like a great way to wear out my OEM BFG's real quick so I can get some stickier tires!!

Hey Andrew I hope ya sprayed the rear fenders with WD40 to help get the rubber off!

There was a lot of rubber pieces flying everywhere, but I will remember the WD-40 next time !

Fortunately we have a super large parking lot, to have fun in, after work and on the weekends..

Thanks Scotty!!! So I once put a car through a pressed concrete light pole at about 85, so now I learn a vehicle before I get stupid, lesson learned at 19. Walked away but the car did not. Also saw my cousins leg bone sticking right out of his calf muscle...new motorcycle, high speed and a bad driver in a car...takes me a few...thats all!

Gotta love the Whipple heh?

I would'nt want you to to toss a rod. You do have a rev limiter on that thing right? :hysterical:

Of course I do now, I did blow up the first 455 by not having one. You would be shocked what a 455 with a couple little special upgrade and a turbo 400 tranny with a 3:42 rearend does. That thing is all low end torq I can do the best burnouts in the big blue monster I just can't go above 120Mph otherwise it will blow.
