Shifter Boot

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any experience with the FRPP shifter handle part # M-7213-J ? My question is, Do I have to adapt the shift boot somehow to this handle? Below is a picture of the handle I'm talking about:

No need to do anything to the boot - the neck of the boot fits in that little grommet that's pictured on the left of the handle. The grommet slides over the handle to accommodate the boot.

Thanks for the quick response. That's what I suspected.

A picture's worth a thousand words.

Here's how the boot fits in the gromet:

Do you have any issues with interference with your forearm on the console cover after installing these? I know the offset is gone so it pushes the handle back; just wondering because of my height, I have the seat all the way back now and not sure if this will be an issue.

How tall are you guys that have installed this and like it?

No issue for me. I really like how it's positioned with the FR short-throw shifter - doesn't row back as far as the OEM shifter, but I didn't have any issues with the OEM shifter either. I'm 6'2" but I don't have the seat all the way back.
