Whipple Pulley Swap

Recommended Posts

Has anyone here changed a pulley on the W140ax Whipple??? What is involved? Is the pulley pressed on or is it just the four bolts that hold it on?

Thanks,

Dennis at Tasca Ford told me four bolts and you are done. Tom

It's just the 4 socket head bolts. Release the belt, use a large allen wrench in the center to hold the pulley from turning, remove the 4 bolts and re-install. Make sure you use the correct torque. Forget the number but it's inch pounds and think it equates to like 25 ft lbs. No re-tune needed.

Thanks to both of you for the info. Just ordered a new pulley and wanted to make sure what is involved before digging in and finding out I need a special tool!
