Congress refused to listen along with the arrogant Congressman, Barney Frank. This video says it all..The liberal media reportedly did not want this video on You Tube; it was taken off. This link is of the same video but is routed through Canada. Everyone in America needs to see this before it is yanked off the Internet again! I did not coin the term racist for Lincoln. Rather that has been widely discussed in history circles for years. Again, it is not a label but rather a question. Was Lincoln racist? Did the South have the right to secede? Did the North have the right to use military force and upon what authority? Was it a war or a riot? There is a difference. But the liberals here never answered the questions so the discussion dies from a lack of knowledge on the part of some that are unable to discuss based upon facts. We are looking at a projected deficit of 10 trillion per year in interest alone in about 10 years. These amounts can NEVER be paid back. It just isn't possible. A couple weeks ago they actually monetized a trillion in debt. This has never been done before in this country and is a very desperate act. It means we are borrowing money and then printing money to pay off the loan. The Republicans did NOT wreck the economy. The economy was doing fine for quite some time prior to the mortgage meltdown. The Republicans just happened to be in power when it happened and it's easy and simplistic to blame them. The groundwork for the housing bubble and subsequent collapse can be laid at the feet of Barney Frank and Bill Clinton. Those facts can really get in the way of B.S. and propaganda. It's scary how so many people are blind to the facts about what is really going on in the country. The mainstream media is flat out lying to you. Don't believe them. Do your own research. KC666 Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black. Barry's first year deficit and the three following will take us farther in debt that ALL the admins. combined before. You could confiscate all income above $75,000/year and that MIGHT just about take care of the problem for a while. Barry's numbers will never work. I was against all that spending BTW, under BOTH R or D's. The financial crisis WAS orchestrated by Frank, Dodd et all in the hopes to give everyone a mortgage, whether they could pay or not. Well before the election. It has never come back. If it had kept growing I would have a GT 500 now. But alas, it did not. I am curious how long before the dow is back to over 14K. The democrats controlled the budget for 2007 2008 as they controlled congress. Why was gas 5.00 per gallon? Supposedly it is supply and demand. It was price fixing and gouging and in my opinion was meant to accelerate the demise of the economy in an election year. OPEC was pumping more oil last year than now so how was the supply diminished. And everyone knew there was no shortage when the prices rose. Lincoln did make racist statements. That is a fact. Sorry if he does not live up to your expectations. He did a lot of great things but that does not mean he was not a closet racist. He did not consider the black man equal to the white man and planned to repatriate. As far as gas prices, you only need look at the obscene profits made by Exxon over the last 4 years of Bush to know who was pulling the strings. The prices were driven up by speculartors running unchecked. It was a money grab. They got a little too greedy and the economy imploded. It's not the only reason but its a big part of it. KC666 Those so called "obscene" profits ran about 8% which is about the average percentage of profit across industry as a whole. Walmart for example had higher profit margins as did the entire pharmaceutical industry. My business has a much better profit margin than Exxon, just not as much money.
