http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090424/ap_on_...on_abuse_photos

WTH........I guess YOUR not being abused if THEY only behead you once..........................They should be made to show Photos of the Abuse that is being done on their Side so the People can get a TRUE perspective. We put underwear on their Heads and a Leash on them and THEY just Chop Off your Head and drag your Body threw the Streets, ....................Hmmmmmmmm :headscratch:

Oh, don't forget about the Suicide Bombers who walk into a crowd of innocent People and blow themselves up..........would that be considered Abuse? :headscratch:

I used to go to a site called liveleak to keep perspective about just what type of people we are fighting. Liveleak allowed the videos to be posted that we as Americans will never see from out soft bellied, one-sided media.

They have since changed policy and will not allow them anymore.

Watch a man get his head sawed off in the name of god with a butcher knife for stealing a loaf of bread to feed his starving family and suddenly waterboarding seems pretty trivial.

I think very little of what has been done to terrorist suspects rises to the level of torture. We do these things to our own Navy Seals in training. Personally, I don't feel sorry for the terrorists and think they get what they deserve. Too bad the present administration is so gung ho to apologize all over the place and blame America first.

First we don't know these people are "terrorists" there were no charges, no trials, no evidence presented they were plucked out of where ever they were, labeled, and sent to secret prisons. That's not my USA...sorry if you disagree.

As for water boarding, all you need to do is go read the WWII and Vietnam war crimes trial transcripts where the US used "torture" to describe waterboarding when it was used on US soldiers.

Torture doesn't work and worse recruits more lunatics that then do those beheadings.

"The very word secrecy is repugnant, in a free and open society, and we are as a people, inherently and historically, opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweigh the dangers which are cited to justify it. There is little value in opposing a threat by imitating it.

Even today there is little value in ensuring the survival of our nation, if our traditions do not survive with it.

And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious who wish to expand it's meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment."

Jeff, you know, you're right. We'll see how your people deal with them, and the results. Good luck with that! Watch out for the Taliban in Pakistan.

Of course, this only applies if one has respect for JFK and what he has done for our country.

FBI agent who interrogated Al Queda says torture unnecessary

From today's NY Times:

"Along with another F.B.I. agent, and with several C.I.A. officers present, I questioned him from March to June 2002, before the harsh techniques were introduced later in August. Under traditional interrogation methods, he provided us with important actionable intelligence. This experience fit what I had found throughout my counterterrorism career: traditional interrogation techniques are successful in identifying operatives, uncovering plots and saving lives. There was no actionable intelligence gained from using enhanced interrogation techniques on Abu Zubaydah that wasn’t, or couldn’t have been, gained from regular tactics. In addition, I saw that using these alternative methods on other terrorists backfired on more than a few occasions — all of which are still classified."

The author was an F.B.I. supervisory special agent from 1997 to 2005.

"My people"? I quoted YOUR candidate. I am quoting the FBI agent present , what do you have that shows otherwise show me I'm not looking at this the right way and how you "know your right".

Weakness takes many forms and this is one of them. Since 9/11 these groups have become stronger...they are coming out of the wood work!

Remember how tough it was to get on a Plane for a couple of Years AFTER 9/11? NOW, they have relaxed the security a LOT. Amazing how there is Money for Security when the Government Panics.

We water board our own Navy Seals in training. Congress was briefed and decided that it was ok. It is illegal under the Geneva convention but the people we were interrogating were not subject to the Geneva convention. As to the "secret" prisons, Gitmo is only about 300 miles from my house and I know where it is. I'm not condoning torture, but it's not like they were hooking up car batteries to their sacs or anything like that.

Well my friend, you and I dealt with a lot of repugnant information in our careers. Was it OK for us to release that information?

Honestly, I'm not sure, we'll just have to see how this plays out I guess.

"Owners of capital will stimulate the working class to buy more and more of expensive goods, houses and technology, pushing them to take more and more expensive credits, until their debt becomes unbearable. The unpaid debt will lead to bankruptcy of banks, which will have to be nationalised, and the State will have to take the road which will eventually lead to communism"
