AFBLUE
Messing with a tire size calculator tonight. http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculato...p?action=submit While I think the 20" razors look better than the 18" razors, one of my concerns of going from 18" to 20" wheels has always been the more firm ride you get with the lower profile tires (smaller sidewall height). So I got to thinking. What if you ran a higher profile 20" wheel to lessen the firmness? In 255s I think most folks get the 255/35/20s. Overall diameter is 27.02" and the sidewall height on the these is 3.51". No need to recalibrate the speedo as it's within less than 1% of the OEM tires. The OEM wheels are 235/50/18s. at 4.62" sidewall height and 27.25" in overall diameter. Thus, over an inch taller sidewall than the 255/35/20s. If you went with the 255/40/20s you would have 4.01" diameter sidewall height and are 28.03" in overall diameter. Your speedometer would be off by less than 2mph at 60mph (2.8%) and you would have a half inch more sidewall height than the 255/35/20s. Does anybody have this setup (255/40/20s)? If so can you post some pix and speak to any tire rubbing issues? I found these pix of this combo. Thanks PS: Go ahead Swedeman...I'm waiting.
