NordicShelby
Special Edition from SAI http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-Mustan...A1%7C240%3A1318 That is one ugly stripe. Now if it said Leinenkugel's on the side I would have to think about getting it.
JeffIsHereToo
I would say no! SAI would not have bastardized the "Shelby GT" side stripe using the wrong font. SAI would not have advertised some graphics company on the car SAI would not have "Special Edition" silliness on the rear bumper Looks to me like a local promo car or something gone horribly bad. tekheavy
I ran an OASIS on the VIN. It says it IS a Shelby GT. Nothing about it being any different than any other SGT.

tekheavy
Looks like a promotional type of thing. Check this one out. Not sure if it's the same. stump_breaker
Where does it say it's a special edition from SAI? It's an SGT with some hacked up stripes from "Production Graphics" installed for whatever reason. Now I'm curious if it is an authorized "Budweiser" car or did someone just take it on themselves to puke all over the car?

stump_breaker
If that's the case I'm sure Budweiser is going to have a field day!! They have to know about it... I shot an email asking the question as to why it is a special edition Budweiser car and if there is a paperwork trail to prove it's pedigree as this obviously was not a Shelby Autos package. I'm sure the response will be forthcoming and accurate (sarcasm off).

I wonder if they ever had communication with Shelby to make a Buweiser "Special Edition" - if there was, it wouldn't have been a car with a first appearance on a site like eBay... stump_breaker
The response - Looks like tekeavy was right on the money. Dear stump_breaker, This car was the grand prize from Budweiser and a Peoria, IL radio station (105.7FM) as a promotional contest for Budweiser. Budweiser paid to have the original silver stripes removed and the red stripes and lettering installed. If you request, I could provide the contract between Budweiser and us. So if you have the SAI paperwork and the Budweiser paperwork, I guess it could really be a collectible item. Not to me but to someone...
shelbymotorsports
I think the third party credit for the decal company on the trunklid says it all. Steve

JeffJ
Kind of neat that they also had the rear emblem done to the Bud King crown. If anything, at least now a little bit of history to 07SGT1215 is known to have been a modified SGT by Budweiser for a give a way car. Kind of cool. socalwrench
So, Budweiser bought a SGT, changed the graphics and rear emblem and did a special promotional give-away?! Wow. The red color is nice, but assigning an alcohol brand to a Shelby is horrible. I really hope Carroll Shelby doesn't find out about this, because we will be furious. 08SGT1977
The red is not too bad but I really love the silver stripes on the white SGTs, just the way the come from Shelby.

AFBLUE
My guess is it left as a ordinary White Shelby with silver stripes (yes I know white SGTs aren't really ordinary, but very special :D ). After delivery an aftermarket graphics shop changed out the silver for red. So yes it's a real shelby, but I'm thinking it didn't leave SAI like that. It's not horrible.. change the door and rear bumper stripes, and you're all set.. The fact that it is Budweiser is repulsive.. :barf:
