robert.clark2
I recently ordered the new interior upgrade for my SGT. It hasn't arrived at the installer yet, so I was wondering if anyone has had this upgrade completed and what is their initial impression? Gary Disney has been very proactive in keeping me informed about the status of my order. His customer service is second to none. Unfortunately, because I am in Afghanistan, I won't even get to see the finished product until next year. Something to look forward to.
clark17357
Hi Robert, I saw something on the Forum about the interior upgrade but did not think it applied to our SGTs. Is there a link that will take me there so I can check it out? Thanks. Jim

mikewheels
It's offered in the Shelby store for about $2K installed. Done at a mod shop. I saw the first Terlinga that Tasca built this week and it looked like it had that interior upgrade in it. Black with yellow inserts, more padded bolsters, "Carroll Shelby" lettered headrests front and rear. Pretty nice. Goes over your existing seats replacing the covers. robert.clark2
Thanks. Looks nice. Here's the linkys to it: http://www.shelbystore.com/ProductDetails....ProductCode=op4 http://www.shelbystore.com/PhotoGallery.asp?ProductCode=op4 Gary Disney is the manufacturer of the leathers for Designer Auto Accessories. When he finishes making your interior, he ships it to a reputable interior installer, NOT a Shelby Mod Shop. My installer is in the Dallas area, but it isn't Quantum Performance. The seats shown in the product detail are prototypes. The actual covers for the SGT have the S Snake with "Shelby GT" embroidered in the headrests. They also have custom interiors for Terlingua, Super Snake, etc... The front seats have improved bolsters for extra support. You should be able to view them all at the link Grabber provided. Fortunately, I got mine the day before the 20% off to team members expired. Grabber - I hope all is well with the family. Things are fine here. Take care. Tasca told me they did the car I saw completely in house. Maybe they subbed out the interior install but just failed to explain that part of it to me. It would make sense that they would. I would like just custom headrests myself instead of covers.

Gary has been great to work with regarding ordering mine. He sent swatches of options so I could decide on two tone. He indicated we that have ordered will get a notice about leaving his shop. Trim shop will call when it arrives. He did say that they had just gotten final approval last Thursday for The SGT and a SGT/SC graphic. Trying to find a way to get just the seat backs updated when I do the SC later this summer. I expect the seats to be done as a SGT by May 1, 2009. Here is what I was shown as the preliminary graphic. dave c
Does anyone know if it is Full Leather?????? From what I've been told, yes and it's a better quality leather. I'm curious to see if they bolster up the seats and would like to see the Shelby GT/SC logo layout. So somebody hurry up and buy this so we can critique it. I'm just not sure what color inserts for a black car. This is something that I don't want to spend a bunch of money on and not be happy with the end result. Are these shipping now? If so, it shouldn't be long before we get some feedback from a few end users. Ken

What had me confused was the selection for the insert color. It appear to be set to match your exterior color but what if you have a black car and wanted silver inserts? DrKSGT
Never mind! It appears that they have changed the site and now offer the silver inserts for black interior. Note that you can get swatches at $10 each that will be applied to your order if you order. I got the Dark Charcol (per my window sticker description) and the black for seat sides to study. Inserts I looked at were a silver and the silverleaf. The Silverleaf is a much better match to the exterior stripes. Silver actually seemed to have a gold tint to it. My Daughter made the call as she is much better with the color tone. Seats have a 3/36 warranty. I would be willing to pass my swatches on to anyone that is interested. Send a PM. IASHELBYGT
Looks great, I can not wait to see the Shelby GT ones. Hopefully they will have another 20% off code in the future............ Agreed. I almost pulled the trigger with the 1st 20% off sale, but I have the grey interior in my car so the insert color choices seemed limited. I like the two tone seats but what colors would the inserts be? Didn't really want white and the silver would be to close to the grey. Any suggestions? Any suggestions?Dave I don't believe there's a white insert choice. The pics in the Store are a little deceiving. There is a Silver Leaf - which is more Grey, and there is a 607 Silver - which more closely matches our Silver Satin stripes. The Grey you see on the site is the Silver Leaf - though it appears a little darker than it really is. And what you may have though was White - is actually the 607 Silver which looks lighter than it really is. I have the 607 Silver for my inserts - you wouldn't want to go darker than that. GT500FLYBOY
I just re-read your post. I don't know if you'd want a grey insert with black seats to match your interior - or Silver insert with black seats to match your stripes...
