Shelby Car Show Stand

Recommended Posts

After collecting a bit of documentation on my particular 07 Shelby GT500 with the Red Stripe Package,

I wanted to somehow display this info while at car shows. I heard of a very nice stand that was

stable and capable of displaying a fair amount of documents.

The stand was powder coated black, since my car is black, and then finished off with the

"GT500" red stripe. There is also a large snake and "SHELBY" lettering along the long axis of the

stand as well. To keep everything in place, the stand has a extention at the bottom that enables

one to park the front tire of the car on it.After making the shadow box, I realized it was too

heavy for the stand, so I lightened its weight as much as I could until it was adequately supported.

Need to get a good pic of the completed assembly while outside, but did manage to

get a fairly decent photo of it.

how do you keep it in place on grass and/or asphalt?

The stand itself has an extention or "foot" along the bottom. Its all

welded together....so you just simply drive the cars front tire

over this extention and the stand is fixated in place.

Very nice I have one of the 1st ones (I own 3 of them) he did back before he offered powder coating that just looks slick.

I like your shadow box idea really neat and you can display quite a bit of stuff.

I am thinking about upgrading and ordering a new one and do some other stuff to the stand.

I agree he was great to deal with he kept me posted on the status of my order overall one of the best places I heve delt with on-line or in person normally over the next I get one email about my purchase and nothing until it arrives.

That's not a display...that is a pulpit. While you are at it why not build an alter around it as well with a couple pews in front?

It's a car show...let the car be the focus of attention...it will speak for itself.
