08BlueCoupe
Today after school I took a ride up to Powerhouse Racing & Performance. Met Wes and his wife and two of their beautiful cars. They each have a GT500 and a GT500 KR. Her GT500, red with white stripes, whippled, the whole 9 yards. Her GT500KR Silver with Blue stripes. I didn't see his GT500 or KR but his white Mustang GT that he runs on the track along with his wife with the GT500. All in all, great people and definitley a great buying experience. But what I must say is, look what I got! The H-Pipe and Clamps The welds The clamps Inside, a little dirty. Youtube video - Thanks Wes! www.powerhouserp.com Damage was only $350! Very nice Pic's !!! Wes has done a quality job on that piece. That look really good. I just wish I could hear the difference between the Corsa's and KR's with the H-Pipe. I think I can spare 4 hp, we will see.

Mine installed - KR installed -
dbackg
from the pics, looks like the Powerhouse Racing "H" cross-extension is smaller in diameter. Anyway to measure? My girl likes width!
Grabber
from the pics, looks like the Powerhouse Racing "H" cross-extension is smaller in diameter. Anyway to measure? My girl likes width! If you take the KR one off and look inside it, you would see it has a washer welded in it to reduce the size of the cross over piece. If you look close, you will notice a weld mark on the outside of the KR pipe from the high heat of the interior welding of the washer. The aftermarket one simply flairs the cross over piece down in size to achieve the same thing with out copying the KR piece.
Grabber
You will need a boro scope to look inside and measure it.
08BlueCoupe
It's official. H-Pipe is going on tomorrow. I will take a bunch of sound clips of 4 different styles. 1) Completley Stock (X-Pipe with stock mufflers) 2) No Mufflers (X-Pipe with no mufflers) 3) H-pipe no mufflers (self explanatory) 4) H-pipe with stock mufflers (self explanatory) They will be going on around 3 P.M. so I will post these videos tomorrow night! chuckstang
Cool, but looks very restrictive! But I hope what Grabber said is true, if so then, its a null point!
chuckstang
Why do either h pipes crip down in size in the middle of the H? Is that to give a certain sound? I assume you want less restriction in there for maxium performance so what gives?
blkGT500nCA
Mine installed - It's official.H-Pipe is going on tomorrow. -Brent Didn't you already install it. That's what I gathered from "MINE INSTALLED" BTW that car in the mine installed pic looks white. Not blue. I assume that you just used that picture as a reference as to what it would look like? Grabber
Cool, but looks very restrictive! But I hope what Grabber said is true, if so then, its a null point! Chuck, The reduction in size of the cross pipe was developed during sound testing. The size is what gives the KR it's unique sound. The KR has a small washer welded in the cross pipe to achieve that function. The loss of HP is not much at all. Engineers have calculated that number to be 4 HP lost with the H-pipe. For the unique sound of this set up....I'm willing to trade because I will never feel the 4hp loss, but the feeling that the sound gives me can be enjoyed everytime I'm in the car. svt boost
I've never figured out why one would want the H pipe...you lose power and there is more drone. As far as the sound goes....it is SO similar it is ridiculous. Not to mention 350 for an H pipe is a shit tonne of moola.
