Front grille badge

I would like to replace the pony badge on the front grille of my SGT, because everything else has the snake emblem on it,

(headrest covers, armrest cover, steering wheel, faux gas cover).

I have these two designs ready to go , but can't decide on witch one, I'm leaning more towards the one with the snake with Shelby on it.

let me know what you guys think !!

I have made this templates so i can have a better idea.

thank's!!

I actually kind of like that. I wonder how it would look w/ "Shelby GT" in lieu of "Shelby"?

I did tought about that,

With just "shelby" on it it looks just like the headrest covers

I have that one being made right now...only Shelby GT/SC I will send you a pic as soon as I get my grubby little paws on the thing. I think it looks real nice.

A little BIG for my taste but I like where you're going!

Maybe I'm just old but what came on our cars today is what was on the GT350 cars in 1965 and 1966. For me, that is where I start and stop. Nothing inherently wrong with your search for a different design but I want to keep the core identifying points of the 60's cars intact on my car. For instance, I really like the CS6 hood but, in the end, I wanted to keep the scoop hood. Not to go on a tangent (so I will) but I have always wondered if any of the GT-H people ever swapped out the CS6 hood for a scooped hood for their car?

I wanted to change the grille emblem at first but have come to really like the tribar pony. I kept the stock pony on the grille and steering wheel and plan to keep it that way.

I like the different styles that everyone has used to personalized their cars though.

There were some old threads were there were some S style cobra prototype emblems for the grille.

Funny that was my first thought as well, but it looks pretty sweet none the less, I usually don't like replacing the factory emblems but that goes rather nicely with the "berg" emblem. Keep us informed brother, nice job.

Not to be disrespectful on your opinion, but if you think of it that way you would't be doing any mods to the car(wheels,etc...)

i'm just trying not to have the snake on on side of the car, then a pony on the other.

I do like the way the car came from Shelby, that's why i bought the car in the first place.

i'm lust like to be different, but that's just me.

Looks like a design I was working on with MTM a while back...I never did go ahead with it as I didn't like the way he had so much black around the snake. If I could get the snake by itself or with SHELBY below it, I would probably go for it, but instead for now I went with the 69-70 SHELBY Snake emblem on the grille...

+1

Not a fan of the design, the size, or of removing the pony badge. Do what suits your taste though, not anyone else's.

I say go with the Shelby/ snake badge to match the rest you all ready added to keep it uniform. I removed my grille emblem and am doing something different myself. I plan on removing all ponys from my car but not have any snakes either. The beauty is it can all be put back to stock if need be.

Hfrosso, nice touch :yup: , anyway you could photoshop the CS logo on the grill? I'd like to stick with just that.

Thanks.

MTM unlimited is doing that for me, they can do different styles too.

i'm shore they can do one for you with the CS logo, i think that it will look nice too.

My wife too says i should't mess with the pony, but now that she saw the pictures she's kind of like it the one with the shelby on it.

MTM is doing mine also. You can move the Shelby below the snake. I wanted the whole car to stay with the Berg cap design so all my parts are being changed to the Shelby GT/SC with the same design. Headrest covers are done already. Wheel insert, grille insert, and cig lighter enroute now. Only Pony left will be the windshield. GrabberPony also did work for me---steering wheel cap and shifter knob.

Are these actually something that can be bought for the SGT?

i like what you are doing with the "shelby gt SC" on the car, if i had my car SC i would probably be doing the same thing.

but i don't know when i'm going to be able to get the SC , so i'm going with the detail of the headrest cover that is the one on with the SHELBY crossing the snake, already sended an e-mail to MTM to go ahead with that design.

I'll have to ask them how i'm going to get this on the car, do you know how yours going to be put on??

You can't find these for sale, they're custom made, you can have one done also, they cost around $40-$50 a piece, depending on the style and size.

I have the steering wheel cap ben made on the same design also.

you can send an e-mail to MTMunlimited with a design you want and they'll make it for you.(www.mtmunlimited.com)

I am having one of the sheet metal guys at work (airplane fabricators) make a connector for the grille. Now I have him making wheel center caps too since Shelby does not make one for SC. I currently have the way overpriced snake with Shelby on it from SPP and Scott Drake.

I'll have to ask Michael at MTM if they'll make soething to attach the emblem on the grill, otherwise i'll have to come up with something.
