So - I venture out to the local drag strip tonight to finally get a few passes with the new charger and man was I disappointed! My best run was 8.5 at 84mph on 1/8th. I basically slipped through 1st, 2nd and finally 3rd i'd hook up. I know with the blower and 4:10's this would be an issue, but not this bad! I was watching N/A MGT's doing as good if not better. I will say this, if I can get the hook up it's gonna be wicked. The wild thing is though on the street I get sooooo much better traction? I'm assuming this is because there's more "rubber" on this asphalt than what's on the normal streets? Or, maybe I need to work on my take off's and not flog it so hard from the launch. Swapping tires is kind of a PITA because the strip is on my way home and I can just roll in there. I guess I'd have to "plan" for it then. I did meet the owner of 08SGT198 (GO) out there though and I told him about the site. Anyway, lots of Mustangs out there tonight. Those terminator Cobra's are still VERY bad!
