marinerfish
Has anyone had problems with the sequential tailights after install. I just received my kit today from shelbyperformanceparts and the driver's side works perfect, but the passenger side has a short in it. I can twist the wiring and it will start to work correctly, but it will not stay that way. I messed with it for about an hour and couldn't get it to stay working correctly. SicShelby
You say you can "twist" the wiring and it will be okay - can you somehow ziptie it to the position you want it or somehow tether it in place? Maybe try placing the harness wires in a different position? Trace down the harness and see where the bad connections is... Is this the kit that you splice, or plug and play, so to speak... This is the plug in kit, no splicing. I can twist it and it works correctly sometimes, but if I touch the wiring to ziptie or tether it in place it stops working correctly again. I think I am going to have to send it back for a new kit. What sucks is I was excited to get the kit and the one side didn't work properly. Now I have to wait a few weeks to get a new one. I was just wondering if anyone had experienced this problem before. I hope this was just a rare defect and all of the other kits are better quality. My advice (what you said) would be to return it for a new one if you don't see an easier answer as to why it's acting up. Better off getting the gremlin out now and getting a new one, rather than run the chance of it getting into the rest of the car, ha-ha. Besides, you shouldn't have to touch it, it should be ready to go from the box, know?

Ditto here.......one last thing to check is to make sure the bulbs are in the sockets tight and have good connections.

I have the same ones and have had them for about three months with no problem, hopefully your set was a very rare incident and that Shelby will make it right with atleast express shipment on a replacement! palacekeeper
I have the webelectric ones - no issues. I like them because they use the factory sockets - not sure if other brands do the same.
Five Oh B
I have the CDC dynamite sticks (plug n play using factory sockets). 2.5 years in the car and never a problem. 5 minutes to install.
marinerfish
I received an email this morning from Shelby Performance Parts customer service and was told to call them for the replacement. I spoke with a sales rep and he put in the order for my replacement. Excellent service and he also told me that this is the first one he has had to replace other than another kit a while back that was a complete taillight replacement(lens and all). I am sure this is just a rare incident that slipped past quality control. Thanks for everybodys responses, this is what I love about shelby owners and the forums.
