They're just kidding you Al. They told me they were going to keep it around all summer and use it as a loner and for sales pitches.  I hope it has a safe journey back and your thrilled when you get it. I wouldn't worry about too much more HP. You won't be able to hook up with the 605 package. Have fun with it when you get it and post a couple of pictures.

Hey Don, your a funny guy ! Its not nice to tease about a guys SS ! Its been great talking with you, thanks again for all the pictures . Did any pictures happen on the badging day ? Hope you are enjoying your car. I love the convertible. If your ever in BC it would be great to meet. Spring is finally happening here, just in time for the SS.

Well, mines supposed to be 07SS0907 and was completed and badged at the same time, white, former red stripe. On the dyno last week to see what it would actually do, but never got the final numbers, technical difficulties I hear. All the spares got back to Calgary in a really big box, car is supposed to be shipped home via Mackies next week. Hard to hook up the 605? Wait until I get the numbers for my 725...

Mackie said they were working on a load to come west, so I would guess that your car it on the same truck as mine. Mine is the black one. They were hoping to have my car to me by tuesday. they haven't sent my take off parts yet, but they are working on getting it packaged. I went for the 605 and then adding a tage 1 tuner, can't even imagine the 725, bad ass ! enjoy your car

They didn't take any pictures with my camera of the badging. I hope the guy from Shelby took some and posts them on the TS website. The car is great but we got snow Monday and Tuesday. It's gone now but the jerks put a lot of salt on the road again. We need a rain to wash the roads. I don't get to B.C. very often but it would be nice to meet up sometime. I have met a few of the Ontario guys and all seem nice. I'm sure it's the same in B.C. You'll be pleased when you see your car. The cars just draw attention. You should have yours next weekend if all goes well. Happy Easter.

I am in BC Canada, and although we are "required" to have front plates, I am not putting it on. From experience, if you have a nice car, the cops tend to leave that issue alone.

Wish that was the same case here... they don't seem to mind really. With the economy the way it is, it's debatable that they are ticketing for the "minor" things more nowadays.

Ours are giving more tickets as they're afraid of budget cuts. I swear it's a competition to see who can write the most. Our provincial commissioner is a jackass and the whole force seems to have adopted his attitude.

Too bad about the dent. My bet is it happened in transit. I didn't see the car's roof the last time I was there but I find it hard to believe they would let it out the door with a dent. I'm glad it's home and your pleased with the performance. Damn quick aren't they...

Don

Yup! so fast I love it, can't stop grinning every time I lean into it. Was a beautiful day drove probably a 100 k today. Little bit of rear end noise on coast @ 80 k +, any body else have the same ? Bigger issue is, starting @ 90 k I get a drumming noise and @ 110k its really loud, reminds me of the noise you get when wind whistles through roof racks on an old station wagon. Any body else have that noise ?? thanks

Well, 07SS0907 arrived in Calgary in the snow today. One short drive around the block...in the snow... Quick glance and the car looks amazing, had a lot of extra mods done, SHM aluminum block, forged crank, billet rods and pistons, Exidy clutch, Kooks, lots of stuff, so really want to tear it up

Saw 09SS0901 on the same load, blue with white stripes, looks great, so someone will be pretty happy in the next few days.

Lets see if this link works.

I'd bet the dent was caused by the shipping company-be sure to follow up with them. I had a car shipped from california to new york a year ago by a strongly recommended shipping company only to find that when it arrived it also had a dent in the roof. It took me about a year to collect _so be persistent.

I've found that a shipping company is only as good as the guy driving the truck Good Luck

And thanks to you for watching out for me, if you take the coast to coast trip we talked about let me know, it'd be great to catch up! I don't have the dyno chart yet, but Sean told me it was "tch" under 700 hp at the rear wheels and expect it to build another 40 or so once its broke in, and it sounds incredible...

thanks for the advise, I have contacted trucking company, they have been helpful. They wanted me to get 2 quotes and submit, which I did today. I think the driver may be leaned on roof to lower him self in to move car. roof sheet metal is pretty thin. Body shop is going to attempt a paintless dent repair, otherwise they will have to paint down to and including quarter. to be continued ....

Deadeye, looks great! Too bad it didn't make it home before the World of Wheels. Would love to hear it roar once the snow goes away. I just dropped mine off in Vegas a couple weeks ago. I won't get mine back until probably the end of June or so. I am getting some of the new mods.

Cheers

I was going to e-mail you some pics, but got lost in the shuffle with work. In spite of the snow, I have driven it downtown on Friday and a few other times. I only used to be scared of one thing, my wife. Now I have 2, the car is a little wild. If you're around Tuesday and the weather is decent, I'll bring it around

No worries John. Well, just looked outside and the weather doesn't look too good until Wed / Thur. I am so glad I found a window of good weather to get mine south. When it gets nice out give me a shout. I'd love to see it! I bet it sounds great. Can't wait.

Cheers

Brett
