20Shelby08
Hey Fellow Shelby Nuts! I just wanted to know how to remove the center badge on my SGT to straighten it up. Has anyone come across this problem? I want to make sure it is done right so I don't destroy my dash! Thanks
mikewheels
It's only on with 2-way tape so careful prying with a plastic pry-bar would do it I'm sure. Would probably need new tape to refasten. Maybe you should leave it crooked though since it's "factory". The purists might cry.
khogle2
Hey Fellow Shelby Nuts! I just wanted to know how to remove the center badge on my SGT to straighten it up. Has anyone come across this problem? I want to make sure it is done right so I don't destroy my dash! Thanks for what its worth, my 2007 dash badge is crooked too (and it looks faded). i decided that its best to leave it be. i have made things worse before trying to fix issues like this or having the dealer mess it up. 07SGT4578
Noooooooooooo, Don't pry on it. If its not too bad I would personally leave it alone, but if it is bothering you, use fishing line to get it off. Don't pry on it. Post us a pic. SHELBYBRO
I was going to say the same thing about the fishing line. That's how I used to remove emblems from my other cars. Works really well. Mine is a little crooked too but who cares.....I own a Shelby!!!

JeffIsHereToo
Mine is slightly off too. You can see it more on the Ai IUP dash as it has lines and the plaque doesn't align. Based on what I read here I wouldn't mess with it! If it's straight people will think it's a clone!

Redlinetoys
Mine has the lines on the dash and the emblem was slightly askew. It was pretty warm out last Saturday and I just left the car sit in the sun until the dash was hot. After about an hour, I was able to just grab the emblem and twist it a little until it was just past being straight. When it relaxed back into position, it was dead on. I am not sure if this is a good idea, or a bad idea, but it worked for me. I also noticed the Shelby trim on the upper interior light unit becoming a little loose. After careful wiggling it came loose completely. I peeled off the two sided clear sticky tape on the inside of it, cleaned it with Mineral Spirits, let it dry and then used two sided "servo tape" to reapply it more permanently (servo tape is avail at a local hobby shop and is used to fasten radio control car and airplane servos. It is essentially double sided sticky foam that is very thin, much like the same material used to hold on outside car emblems.) I also did the same thing to the brushed accessory aluminum lock covers that were falling off when I bought the car.
