Looks nice! It looks like white with black strips? is that correct? Also, can you give more details on the grooved spacer requirement?

I machined an aluminum collar to the Outside dia. of the inside of the boot with a groove in the dia. to hold boot. I'll take some pics and give some dim. Friday. The stock 07-09 shifter shaft will NOT work, completely different thrd.Yes it is white with black stripes .

same type of deal, but with a lot of custom variations, and a grooved adapter to hold the boot in place.....

grabber pony shift knobs

edit: about $90 for knob and adapter, includes your choice of colors, and the engraving on the top and sides.

Those are also cool. I like the collar on these as well. Thx.

Here are some dim. Start with 1.375 Dia alum. Turn OD to 1.300. Drill hole min .490 dia . Use .125 Radius tool to groove OD to 1.125 dia. Cutoff to .405 OAL. OAL is important because thread will bottom out on flange on shift shaft....Again I used a 2010 shifter shaft.

Thanks bullittmansparts. I will put a man right on it. Err.. thats after I can find someone who understands what you just said

Any chance I can get a pic of the collar with the boot pull down out of the way?

Thx again. Nice work.

You will need to buy the shift lever also and make a grooved spacer if you go this way.

I'd like some info on how I can adapt the frpp kr shifter handle to the 2010 knob. I know the threads are not the same but is there a way to replace the ball insert to a 3/8-16 thread or modify the lever to fit the 10m -1.25 knob?

What about turning the handle down and add a 10m - 1.25 helicoil to the handle?

Thx

I would turn the handle down to fit ball, then remove the flange on the the ball and install a 10 mm nut to lock the ball on shaft like the stock KR setup.

The shifter looks great!...but how does it feel during hard shifts when compared to the stock one?

I like the feel of the ball a LOT better.....Also have the FRPP short throw shifter. It is very positive during hard shifts. Far superior in feel to the the stock setup IMO. The new shifter also is much firmer with very little extra noise if any.
