dbm350
I am thinking of changing brake pads. The stock pads seem to leave a lot to be desired. I still have the stock royors, will probably replace after they are used up. I do an open track maybe once a year. Anydoby got suggestions? I was thinking Hawk HPS. They are supposed to be easier on rotors than the HPplus.
shelbytexan
The hawk hps seem to be one of the most popular on this forum as they have a better bite than stock and low brake dust compared to hawk hp plus. The hp-plus is more agressive than the street version but you are correct in that they will wear the rotors out quicker because of being more agressive and will create more dust. If you are going to be on the track only once a year then you will probably want to go with the street pads. These brakes are a weak link on these cars. You might want to purchase some rotors from blue oval industries now while they are cheap. I paid 299.00 + shipping for 4 drilled and slotted baer rotors that are stock size. You want find these anywhere this cheap. Good luck.

dbm350
Hey guys, Thanks for the info. Those rotors do sound like a good deal. Sent Blue Oval an e-mail, and waiting for a response. My original rotors are starting to warp already, front ones. Good time to change pads and rotors. Thanks , Doug

Thanks , Doug Because of this thread I went ahead and orderd from Blue Oval yesterday, ...got a notice today, delivery 4/13.
