bye bye clutch

Hey guys i need some advice.. I took my shelby to redline (dragstrip) yesterday and when i launched it i went no where 4 gear 5,000 rpms and only going 15 mph... there is now absolute no stiffness in my clutch so i was wondering what kind of clutches are yall running. i was also thinking of doing a better flywheel while im in there.. any advice??

I know Mac (Lulu) replaced his clutch after Terlingua and put some serious effort into deciding what was best. I raced his car in January at CS86 in Las Vegas and was sold on what he has. He does not do PMs so e-mail him at SergntMac@aol.com. Good luck.

I do not have one, but have only read Great things about the Mcleod Twin Disk. Its about $1600 installed. Not cheap, but with the power we are putting down with the 550HP Whipple I plan to get one when my Stock clutch burns out.

I replaced my Spec and Ram slave with McLeod RST twin and stock slave.

Lighter than stock and not so on and off like the spec.

Only thing is when you lug the car around 1400 rpm to 1900 rpms you hear a slight vibration sound from the floater plate but I personally don't lug car.
