HARALD KELLEY
I have a question: Tasca did a GT-H with the Whipple and lowered the motor by 3/4 inch. This allowed the strut brace to be retained and no mods to the hood. Any thoughts on this? I am just asking as many folks want to keep the brace, but no one has mentioned this approach. Not sure what happens to the exhaust, drive line etc. I will be calling Dennis on this approach.
ilmor
This has been mentioned on other threads, but all I've read is that custom mounts can be made. I don't know of anyone who sells them.
Hardluck33
It has to be cheaper to all get together and pay someone to design one

Lethal Performance sells them for about $500 Lethal Performance BMR K-Member The above photo is not my car it is from BMR's website ! I am soooo close to buying this and having it installed and seeing if this works with the stock hood and strut brace. But I can't the SGT is has been inline at the body shop for 2 weeks waiting to get the Chip Beck Hood Scoop installed and new complete painted on stripes, hopefully they will get to it next week Take Care Andrew

HARALD KELLEY
Just FYI I contacted Dennis at Tasca regarding the S/C set-up for the GT-H He stated they have a K-member lowering kit which includes billet spacers for the K-member and radiotor support. They also install a modified billet engine mount. Ford Racing is coming out with a 475 hp kit that they installed on two automatics and he said it is great. He said no need to modify the hood or strut brace. He also stated no vibration issue with this set up as someone mentioned in some previous thread. To that end, I wonder if SAI can do a similar set-up. I will contact Bud.
HARALD KELLEY
Well it defintely seems like this is not an appraoch that many are interested in. For what it is worth, I contacted Bud and he stated SAI does not do this. Concern around drive line angle etc. They may do this in the future when they become a full blown mod shop. He did say on the GT-H they cut the hood but it looks profesional.
