gc12
After detailing my brand new GT500 KR the other day, I just noticed on the back of the passenger seat (on the lower right side) a spot, darker than the grey of the seat, the size of a baseball (looks like grease but its not). The car was obviously delivered to me with it. Knowing that the back of those seats are made of fake leather unlike the front, I've tried every plastic stain remover, soap, leather cleaner without any success. It looks almost like the fake leather fabric was already stained at the factory... See picture below.

gc12
Take it back they will fix it under warranty. Problem is, there is no dealer per say here in France. It has been imported by an intermediary contracted by me that subsequently sold it to me hence my trouble today!

gc12
How about SAI?? I left a post to amy but haven't heard from her yet. I might have to write directly to her but I doubt they could do anything for me in Europe...

08GT500KR
We shipped him a new seat cover and he is very happy as I just received a letter from him Amy In my opinion that was that right and best way to handle it, These are very expensive cars and it is very comforting to know that Ford and SAI stand behind these marquee cars, I do wish that Ford would have reimbursed SAI to remove and repaint the rusted out rear end on all of our cars, it is embarrassing when people see that and ask (isn't this a new car, that cost $80 grand, hmnn then why the rust), subsequentially it makes it impossible to put the car in a show until it has been corrected. My seating was fine but after reading this I had to go thru it very thoroughly to be safe, I have yet to see any other KR'S on the road here in Mich, but there are 68 of them here along with 7 S.S. cars, so hopefully oneday soon. Due to the economy I have mine in a bubble on a ramp in storage until I can fully insure it again, hopefully I will be able to drive it a few times as our summer has not even started yet and will be gone just as fast as it arrived. The Michigan weather seriously blows. Hope the seat cover looks better and you are tearing up Paris with your American Made Muscle machine. Does your clutch chatter/rattle, and hard to shift>? The rare times I drive it mine is awful and I have to get it in for the tsb repair, which I am NOT thrilled about.
gc12
Amy and SAI have been outstanding in providing a new seat cover for me under warranty. It's up to me now to find a good trim shop to replace my seat cover. If I could, I would do it myself as I'm always reluctant for people who don't know my car to work with it. Concerning the hard to shift and clutch problem, I don't experience any of the symptoms except for the shudder in 1st gear when going up a ramp at very slow speed. Beside that, I always down shift using the heel & tow technique which I've been using on all my cars since my racing days. This has always proven usefull to preserve the clutch life of my cars. Hopefully this will prevent the TSB problem that has been affecting so many GT500 ... or so I hope

Simply, I have not seen this level of customer service matched here in Europe, particularly with vehicles and parts sourced outside of the EU trading area.
