Any suggestions for a Nitrous system for our SGT's?

 

I want to stay n/a and the quickest way to add HP is a Nitrous system.

I'de like to go with a 125 shot. What will have to upgraded to add the system?

 

Opinions and suggestions please!

What are your intentions with the car? Do you plan on racing at all? Drag or road course?

If no racing, then what's the reason for the nitrous?

Do you intend on doing any other performance mods, other than those necessary to run NOS?

May want to also look at your state laws if that sort of thing concerns you. Im some states including VA its illegal to run NOS. If a cop find out he can impound the car until its taken care of, which means cleaning the whole system out which from what I hear is pretty steep.

 

Other then that all I can tell your about nitrous is its a gas.

any ways i've been thinking about nitrous alot more lately. would be that extra oomhp to throw in the face of vette owners. i'll probably hit the cam and head store first though

Year One has a program at the Atlanta Dragway called "Fast Friday Test & Tune".

I have watched friends run their GT 500's, Challenger's and Charger's and I want

to get in on it.

 

There are a number of Mustang GT's that run mid 13's and I wanted to do

just a little better. Friends have suggested Nitrous for a quick boost that should

get the SGT into the high 12's to low 13's. <----- Depending on the driver!

 

These suggestions come from weekly drag racers and I just wanted input from this

forum.

Hi StrayShadow...one of our members in the local shelby club

has been running Nitrous on his 07GT500 for about a year or two.

Nice setup within the trunk ..2 bottles..etc

His is from ZEX Nitrous. He uses a staged system that automatically

switches on at a predetermined RPM. Here the link.

OK well that makes some sense. Regular drag racing is the only application that really 'benefits' from nitrous use.

ZEX is a great brand, as mentioned above. Before adding nitrous just to shed a few tenths, I'd consider adding the typical bolt on mods and shedding as much weight from the car that you can.
