FiaCobra
lol.........haven't driven the snake since November when my clutch took a dump on me (TSB) Anyway, nice day here so I decided to give the car a good washing (dusty), install the sequential taillights & black cue ball shift knob. After everything is finished, I decided to take a short trip through town. My car is loud to begin with (SLP's installed) and when driving through this little strip through town, the noise echos from the narrow pass between a few tall buildings. I never saw the cop sitting on the side. As I pass on through at 20mph, the car makes a nice bit of noise when flippin' the gas pedal a bit. As I pass, cop, who is facing the other way with his window down, yells something to me (I think he told me to pull over). I just kept driving. Anyway, about 5 minutes later, I do a U-turn and decide to bring the car home. Cop is already on the road headed in the direction I just came from. I see him, he see's me...we both slow, and I hear him yet again as I pass "pull over". ......so, I do the noble thing and pull the Shelby into the next available lot and wait for him. He pulls along side me and asks: "How old are you?" I respond with the proper "adult age"...and he says "Hey, stop acting like a 14yr old and keep that car quiet as you pass on through. People are watching me sitting there as you come on through with that car making all kinds of noise." My response was: "Sorry, I didn't see you and would never disrespect you like that. I haven't driven this car in months and i'm a lil' over zealous." He was nice in his response and let me go without any hassle. I understood where the fella was coming from......I simply never saw him until it was too late. .....so, I just want to say thanks for the law enforcement officers who are just doing their jobs.....and also for understanding that sometimes we "adults", like to act 14 when driving this car. .......this Buds for you !! Shlbylvr
You showed amazing restraint, only driving 20mph. I'd have been roaring.

The cop acted like I had just been in a gangland shootout. Handcuffed everything and me. It was against a corvette on a late Sunday afternoon, almost entirely open road in southern Colorado. Oh well, with estate taxes being down the cops have to get their money somehow. All the people I have known who “ended up” as cops where the dudes who got picked on in high school and smoked weed in their parents basements, or those that dropped out of community college. LOL, not bashing LEO guys here but I do tend to agree with that statement...I go with the 10% rule on LEOs, as I have done a lot of work with different agencies in the past. 10% of them are cool as hell, and the others....well, just hope they aren't on their PMS cycle or have a bug up their butt. It seems most times I have a bit of an issue with them because I am usually getting the stink eye for something minor. Don't get me started on the issues I've come across with a CCL.. , and the questions that I get asked sometimes..... what???? I do have the utmost respect for the majority of them, but..... Don't EVEN get me started on the utter lack of oversight and ethical conduct of prosecuting attorneys...Nifong ring a bell, did he ever do a second in jail for his crimes???? :angry2: and unfortunately that isn't an isolated incident in regards to prosecutors.... Too true dog, sometimes I feel like I am at an Iraq checkpoint with this garbage. In my town there are a few decent cops that I have known for years, they make me aware of things like actual quotas and other things that cops deny up and down, such as the watch commader getting a ride home when he was pulled over for a DUI, no charges.
