Obama to Wounded Vets: "No Healthcare for You!!

Recommended Posts

Well that didn't take long!

Trying to reduce HIS unprecedented deficit HE created by ripping off members of the military!

Obama wants veterans returning home with service related injuries and disabilities to pay for the treatment themselves. Even with medical insurance, there’s the deductibles, out-of-pocket expenses, etc. All to treat injuries they received while on duty in the military.

That was WHY the Veterans Administration was created; to treat the unique needs of America's veterans!

He hopes to save $1/2 of billion, maybe. But, radical leftests activist groups such as ACORN are to receive Billions in the recently passed spending bill.

WTF??? :headscratch::headscratch:

About time a mis-guided plane flies over DC. This is unacceptable. These soldiers give their all to protect these disgusting a**

How can private insurance reimburse if the soldier does not have private insurance? Most do not as this is their only job and how would they get private insurance if they have pre-existing conditions

Prediction - Healthcare and insurance costs will increase significantly due to this Obamaplan. Then, he will use the high cost of healthcare to promote his socialized medicine agenda and healthcare control even further. Eventually, he may also attempt to gain control of the insurance companies in order to socialize them and have them become complete government controlled. Enlistment rates will drop dramatically, while at the same time, the need for military will increase. Then he will be forced to re-initiate the draft, and / or he will also draw upon young people who he intends to try and force into a "civilian defense force" or other required "service" of young people. I sure hope I'm wrong.

Hey, did you hear today that the Democrats are revising the "Terrorist" label? Now, terrorist attacks are called "Man Made Disasters". Just think, now even the Exxon Valdez incident would be equated to "Man Made Disasters". Just think about this. An accidental oil spill equates to a homicide bomber killing dozens of people.

Why are Democrats so opposed to the use of the word "Terrorist"?

We must call things by proper words, or we continue to cause more danger by diluting the meaning of things or making things sound better than they are.

Not to change the subject, by wow, there is just so much going in the wrong direction due to this Obama guy.

Often times these military personnel, if reservists, are not currently employed by their company. They are re-hired when returned from overseas. Often times health care insurance will not apply in time of war or military conflicts. Life insurance usually applies but often times not private medical insurance.

I don't know how much truth was in the movie JFK. We will never know the true story. There are no written records as to what happened and why. But JFK did upset the military, the military industrial complex, and the CIA. Again, we do not know whom, or why. But we know that President Kennedy died.

I can't wait to hear Jeff defend this action. I saw him in the thread, but no response yet. :headscratch:

I'm not going to respond to BS twisting and lies!

Obama DID NOT SAY "No healthcare for you"

There is no money going to "ACORN"

Anyone that cares to know what the issues were can read the press release that was posted above, it is not a news story, it's a press release by my Legion friends who in these tough economic times have become another of those "we need your dues so we're gonna scare you" veterans groups that are always sending me stuff.

Anyway, it's not going to happen, billing our insurance companies was considered as part of the overall budget proposal, and I think it is a BAD BAD IDEA ( I am a disabled veteran), and there is no way it's going to happen. It does send a signal to Congress that they have to get serious about earmarks and pet projects or something drastic will need to be done to overcome the budget issues we're going to face once we're out this tailspin.

Now, I make use of these services, and my mother is a nurse at the Veteran's Hospital in Bedford MA, and I can make you all a VERY nice list of the custs that were made by the Bush Administration but I guess we all forgot about Walter Reed heh?

Anyway, I'm not longer into trying to trying to have a reasonable debate with you guys. Too much hate, FUD, outright lies, and fabrications posted here and I just don't have the time!

As a user of these services let me help you and explain how this works.

1. I can get FREE service for my service related issue. If there is any work done at that time that is incidental to that then my insurance company, or Medicaid is billed.

2. I can get medical help for any issue but my insurance company, or in the case of a retiree Medicaid is billed.

If I do not have insurance they will means test you and bill you the rate that is specified by your income. If you have no income you can qualify for FREE medical care. Feel free to visit the VA web site.

ok?

The proposed change was:

1. I can get FREE service for my service related issue however if I have insurance the VA would look to insurance company to pay a portion of the cost. This would have to be approved by Congress as the laws would need to be changed as today the majority of insurance polices exclude coverage for any service or war related injuries. Congress is in no mood to mess with with this. :finger:

2. I can get medical help for any issue but my insurance company is billed.

If I do not have insurance they will means test you and bill you the rate that is specified by your income. If you have no income you can qualify for FREE medical care. Feel free to visit the VA web site.

The only change was in situation #1 so there is no "cutting off" of veteran medical care here or anything else even close to that.

Now, having said that, this would hurt me in that it would eat up my bridge amount that covers my family. On the other hand that would get is to 100% coverage after the deductible faster! :shift: Anyway, it's a BAD BAD BAD idea and it will die a quiet death. But that won't stop our friends at the Legion from putting something in the mail telling me that they faced down the Administration and saved my healthcare! :headscratch: Ok?

Ok so I don't know all the facts and I would not be surprised to hear of this type of proposal coming from this administartion especially during our economic struggles. I served for 15+ years and I believe that we owe our service members who serve in harms way are owed by the American citzens all that we can do for them!!!! Agree or diagree I really don't care! I for one will do everything I can to protect the rights of our service men and women.

I totally agree and thank you for your service! My issue is people that try to use us as political pawns while there are REAL issues disabled veterans deal with each day that the Legion isn't fighting and putting out press-releases on because that's hard work. Putting this release out and pandering to an easy target issue, they know will go nowhere, is BS and I think shows how little work these groups really do for us.

People that post this crap should look up Tammy Duckworth, one of the President's closest friends and advisors, and tell me the President doesn't understand the needs of returning Veterans.

Again thank you for your service!

I did more research and, it is true this is one idea Obama is floating. And, they will not rule out doing just this. The legion is just trying to get ahead of the issue before they actually think seriously about heading this direction. I think your allegence to OB Jeff is blinding you. Your anger should be directed at him for even thinking about doing this.

And, are you saying ACORN is not going to get any money?

The truth will be revealed one of these days. For now, though, all we have is the media to tell us, and who knows who is spinning what each way?? :headscratch:

I do love how Obamarama is flip flopping on the fundamentals of the economy - that one is halarious....

I see that another nominee backed down last night, a deputy of some department; I lost count of how many there have been now.

Back to Healthcare, I see this headline this morning....

Universal Health Care May Cost $1.5 Trillion

Health policy experts say guaranteeing coverage for all Americans may cost about $1.5 trillion over the next decade -- more than double the $634 billion 'down payment' Obama set aside.

Keith,

Welcome to the discussion!

I think you might want to take a look at the number of threads, like this one, and by this member. I guess you don't get the intended sarcasm of my post above, which I outlined in another thread, where I said what if I were to post a link to every article positive of Obama or negative of Bush. But having said that what exactly what is it about my post above that wasn't factually stated in the article unlike this one where there is no mention of "no healthcare" nor of ACORN. Did I miss that? :headscratch:

Thanks, Jeff. Happy to enter the mosh pit.

So the question is, you get to use humor and sarcasm in your post, but this member in question doesn't?

By chance could the title of this topic have been his attempt at sarcasm and humor? He's not allowed to "paraphrase" the subject matter with a short title?

As far as ACORN "NOT" getting any of the federal stimulus funding... when freaking pigs fly. Come on Jeff, You know they are gonna get some of that money.

http://www.judicialwatch.org/blog/2009/jan...-infested-acorn

As far as the previous post of yours which I referenced, I didn't question the validity or authencity of anything in the article you referenced.

I did however, question your intentions and motives for that particular post to begin with... I proposed it was, like others here, to continue pointing the finger of blame at someone else. :stirpot:

I suppose if the half-truths, innuendo, out and out lies, BS and hatred you mentioned above are too much for you, feel free not to reply to a post or start a topic.

There are many topics I simply choose to bypass, others I don't. So, thanks for the "Welcome", you may see me from time to time, dropping in to offer my 2 cents worth of opinion.

Have a great day and don't let this stuff get you down.

Victory over Obama's plan to rob Veterans of their health care!!

I can't believe that he would even suggest such a plan w/out thinking it through. I love how Gibbs tries to spin it that "Obama listened". Do they think that citizens are that naive???
