ARMORINE
so i already have the lower intake bezels and piaa driving lights. i was thinking about doing the cs6 grill with the lights, im trying to figure out if the electrical system would support this? i was thinking i would run a seperate harness for the grill lights. would this work? would i have to beef up the alternator? i figure the sgt would have some electrical power left over for safety margin, running a seperate harness i could use that since it would go through the battery and not the harness already in there. i'll start figuring out the power draw tonight i do however need the schematics and specs for the electrical system. i unfortunatly can't seem to find them. any ideas or input would be greatly appriciated

ARMORINE
Here's the diagram for the headlights: headlights.jpg.pdf I just used the plug that's already powered up for the GT grille lights i would do that too but unfortunatly thats already taken by the PIAA driving lights. im going to hav to set up another harness for the grill lights seperatly. the factory harness only has previsions for one set of fog lights(driving lights in this case) im just worried about over loading the system. on the other hand these will look and function phenomenaly if i get it all figured out
ARMORINE
i might be able to splice into the bus...but i risk overloading the current harness.

ARMORINE
Did you want the lower lights to switch on seperately from the CS6 grille lights?? not really, i could put in a switch in the wiring for that, i want them to function together. If you want them both to operate off the fog light switch, all you need is to add a 20/30 amp relay. Use the output of the fog light connector thats under the hood to operate the coil side of the relay with the other side to ground. Then the other two sides of the relay are your high current side, with one going to the battery thru a fuse and the other going to the load side of your lights. tispco
Just an FYI. In a lot of states, I believe it is illegal to have two sets of aux. lights on at the same time. It would probably be worth checking into so you don't get pulled over.

Its actually alot easier than it sounds. Yes, its a seperate relay that you would install. Pepboys sells them. Theyre usually known as a horn relay, usually made by Bosch. there's 4 or 5 contacts. They'll be numbered 85, 86, 87, 87A and 30. 85 and 86 are your coil contacts. 87 and 30 are your switched high current contacts. 87A you wont need. This should help you: http://www.rattlebars.com/mtz/basicrelay.jpg

All your positive leads can be hooked to together and your ground lead should go to the chassis. Probably a good idea to fuse all your hot leads. Sounds like you are in good hands with tek for the electrical work...but do you have the CS6 grille yet? If not, that may be your biggest stumbling block. Last I checked (3 weeks or so ago), SPP was still out of stock and prospects for their replacement in the near future were then pretty slim. If you know better about the CS6 grille, please advise and, in any event, best of luck with your project - very unique! Kevin
