ShelbyCobra826
Sorry for the dumb question that has probably been answered 100 times, but I'm new to the GT500 world. I bought a 2007 Shelby GT a year and a half ago, and I remember that the GT500 owners were able to request some kind of certificate from SVT/Ford documenting their cars while the Shelby GT owners were not. Now I have traded the SGT in on a new GT500 convertible, and I can't remember how this works or seem to find information on this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. shel-b001
You have to contact SVT & give them your vin. & they will send you the info & certifcate for a cost of $35.00 well worth it. There is a 1800 # to call.
John Canfield
Check out www.fordperformancegroup.com , and you'll find the information there. They are available for GT500s, SN95 Mach1s and SN95 Bullitts.
kahmann
the GT500 owners were able to request some kind of certificate from SVT/Ford documenting their cars while the Shelby GT owners were not. Since the GT500 is built by SVT and the SGT is built by SAI, it makes good sense that a cert wouldn't be available for the SGT from SVT. I thought that I read rumors of a certificate coming from SAI for our SGT's though. Can anyone confirm? Ken

Also, congrats on the convertible GT 500.....you'll love it! I trust that you are talking about the certificate and not the car...all my family got me was a dead pedal (which luckily I never got around to installing on the SGT as I now have it for the GT500!). And yes, loving it already. Thanks everyone for the info!

TexasShelby
no...call 800-FORDSVT $35 But the production run has to be finished before they are issued.
ShelbyCobra826
same place where you get the dash plaque??? Believe the dash plaque is from ShelbyPerformanceParts.com and also comes with a door sill plate that would replace the "SVT" factory piece. See: http://www.shelbyperformanceparts.com/Show...late%20kit.aspx If they sold the plaque separately from the sill plates, I'd probably grab one, but I like the SVT ones just fine. ShelbyCobra826
Ordered; thanks everyone. FYI, current cost is $45, not $35. They are printing 2007s and 2008s currently but will be printing 2009s very shortly...
