shelbydream1
I'm sorry I don't have any pictures of this thing, because it was horrible-so much so that you couldn't make this up it you had too. I saw it at 5:30am and it was too dark for my cell phone camera, so I'll have to describe in as much detail as possible. The car was white with navy blue lemans stripes. The scoop appeared to be one of the Cervini's or similar shaker style hood-it was not striped, just plain white with a cartoonish cobra and Shelby GT on it. The front fenders had 4 of the 50's era Buick style vents at the rear upper edge. The grille was an SGT style grille but had inboard rectangular foglights. It had vinyl cobra decals on the front fenders under the vents with "powered by FORD", get this---stenciled on under the cobras in alternating letters with blue and red paint. The rear decklid had SHELBY GT in vinyl letters with italic style font. The Faux gas cap had the same style lettering as the decklid but said "SGT" in blue on a red background. Next to the gascap on the right side was a vinyl decal of the most cartoonish running horse I've ever seen and underneath it read Shelby GT 331 ci Cobra. It had a single exhaust with one of those big "ricer style" muffler/tailpipes and sounded like a Hi-po weedeater. It had a standard interior with SHELBY GT stenciled between the center vents where a dash plaque would normally belong. It had a dealer registration plate on it, so hopefully it's local so I can get pictures of this ugly thing.

stump_breaker
If it's not documented it didn't happen. In other words - Edit - *sigh, I thought we had a "this thread is useless without pics" emoticon. Shoulda known better (rolling eyes)*
Reino
We really need to start a "thread of shame" with pics of imposters and poorly done mustangs that are suppose to look like SGT's. I think calling the one described an "imposter" is giving it too much credit.

kahmann
It had dealer plates on it? Ya think a dealer might have actually gone to this much trouble to barf a perfectly good Mustang up? Oy. :o

FiaCobra
You saw and heard all of this at 5:30am? Where were you in relation to that car where you got up close and personal to it? You even heard it drive away? Was the owner a young kid? I mean, you had to see the owner if you heard the exhaust and saw the center dash. I'm more interested in how you noticed and got close to this car at 5:30am than I am about the car itself. At 5:30am, i'm still fighting with eye crust.
