stormeaston
Have you noticed that since the democrats have taken office all you have heard out of them is "tax increase" "tax increase". And I am really amazed on how much $$$$ they have given to help out all the poor (Citi Corp) bankers keep there million dollar salaries, and bailout the poor CEO's of GM. Now DDT, you can't deny that those payments haven't gone to the rich people.

THERE IS NO SHAME IN WHAT THIS PRESIDENT WILL DO BECAUSE HE BELEIVES IN WHAT HE IS DOING IS RIGHT.( VERY SCARRY) I haven't read the specifics on this plan but off the top of my head I guess maybe you think it's much better to spend $1 Trillion...ONE TRILLION, hold on one more time, O-N-E .....T-R-I-L-L-I-O-N dollars to wage a war in the Middle East over non-existent weapons of Mass Destruction and destroy our leadership in the region while feeding into the hands of the American hating wackos, than lending a hand to help in a humanitarian crisis. Nawwwww! As for the Citi Bank comment...all loans to CitiBank were made under President Bush's Administration in November of 2008 and President Obama has used the remaining funds, that were supposed to go to the banks, to fund the homeowner assistance program that was announced last week. Nice try though!
ejrail
What is wrong with guy?? The Americans who lost their jobs and homes should be his first priority, not a bunch who militants who have been at each others throats for thousands of years. We didn't start that conflict and were not involved in it so why are we obliged to bail them out, too? :angry2: The sooner they regroup, the sooner they'll do it all over again. Giving them a dime is absurd. Every day I am reminded why I didn't vote for the guy. I am counting the days until I can vote against him and the Dems again. Do you mean Islamic terrorists weren't targeting us before the Iraq war? Do you mean that there weren't millions of Arabs shown dancing in the streeets at the news of 9/11? Oh, I get it. Nice try though! You obviously have very limited understanding of Muslims and especially Muslim extremists. If you, as you put it, "lend a hand" to help them you will usually pull back a bloody stump. They see acts of kindness and goodwill as weakness. Plus, Obama's plan also includes bringing about 200,000 of these people here to the U.S. to live where they will probably take to the streets to protest against the U.S. Unless something bad happens to us in which case they will take to the streets to celebrate like the Muslims in Detroit did after 9/11. Bottom line is that we did not destroy Gaza and have no responsibility to clean up the mess. I for one don't want Gaza refugees living in my neighborhood although I doubt any of them could afford to. We had a leadership position for many years working with Israel and the moderate Arab states. I can usually count on at least you for a good debate but I don't think the issues you've raised have anything to do with the President's proposed donation which by the way is a part of a larger Arab state donation. You're using other means and issues to make your point...but again...we simply believe differently on this that we need to start building bridges with the people and the moderate states if we're going to beat the extremists anything else AGAIN feed right into their plan. IMHO!

IMHO! I question one thing you said, and you turn it into meaning the whole statement? Okay. Well, I do not believe in funding people who're not our friends. When has a friendship made with money ever worked? If you think that this will work you either forget about all the money we've kicked-in before over the decades, or you are gullible. I think that over the past several decades we should have pumped our own damn oil out of the ground rather than let the oil companies import oil - even if it meant nationalizing an essential commodity. We allowed oil to set us up for the failures we see now. Think about it: we are the predominant consumers driving the demand for world oil. If we weren't driving that demand then the Arabs wouldn't be making as much bank. Less bank means less money they are willing to part with to send to terrorists. I disagree that we ever had a true leadership role since we backed creating Isreal, and don't count holding their leash as a leadership role either. svttim
Dang it, I have to agree with Jeff, well, sort of. We have been giving the palestinians money through every administration, not just Obama's So, what we are saying is he is just as bad as the rest, right Jeff! They sshould not be getting a dime from us. They hate us and always will as long as we insist the Jewish state must exist as well.
