Blown Away
I went to the autoshow in San Diego this year. I was very disappointed in the Ford display. They did not have any Shelbys at all on display, new or old. I guess there isn't a big enough demand in the Southern California market to display a Shelby???? Oh, yeah no transformer either. Shelby101
The GT500 was painted what they called Blue Ink. It was a very deep shade of blue , i would harken to a Midnight blue. But in the correct light angle it took on a purple huge. It may sound strange, but it was a beautiful color. The whole center console is changed and the cup holder has a cover over it. They also moved the front snake from the right side of the grill to the left side. It appeared that the stance was noticeably lower than the current 05-09 GT500's. This was confirmed by the Rep. Wheels were different, but the tire size is unchanged. Horsepower was listed at 540.
2006GT500
Wow almost wish I wouldn't have seen these pics as it makes me even more angry at how bad the Dallas Auto Show sucked. There was no GT500, and no Bumblebee. Unfortunately the coolest things I saw at the Auto Show here was an Alloy Terlingua, the Camaro, a ZR1, F430 Scuderia, and a GTR. mywickedshelby
I was thinking the same thing, ....FORD invited us down to the Philly Auto Show, but turns out compared to Chicago, Philly was Auto Show Jr! Guess I should have known better and waited for NYC......... Oh well, I did get a philly cheesesteak out of the deal!
