AK1131
I met the guy names Jack Brumbelow. I told him that I own an AC MkIV. His reply was "Really, I use to work for Carroll Shelby International running his overseas operation. My office was at the old AC factory at Thames Ditton. Didn't Carroll Shelby died?" I then told him that Shelby is still going strong. Is this guy for real or unreal? AK1131

AK1131 I was reading a book about Mr. Shelby and it said several times that when you talk to folks from AC, they take the credit for the Cobra and many of the decisions that led to that car. Revisionist history?

Revisionist history? I would like to find out is Brumbelow was associated with Shelby. That is all.

DubbsFaris
That guy is full of you-know-what...I went to school and grew up good friends with a child actor, who is now an adult actor that I have no ties with. I would know it if he died. Its not like this guy is saying he was the janitor at the LA factory...he "ran" the international division...pull on your rubber boots for the rest of his story... AK1131
I contacted the AC Owners Club which I am a member of. No one there knew of Brumbelow and told me the AC Factory in Thames Ditton was demolished for a housing project.

RKBrumbelow
Gentlemen, This thread is years dead, and necroing is normally bad form, but I could not help but to respond. The Jack Brumbelow mentioned in this thread is likely Jackson Lidell Brumbelow, my father. He is a notorious BS artist and should only be believed when you have verified it with at least 3 other known true sources. It is quite a typical thing for him to have claimed to have worked for Shelby or to have run someone's overseas business. He did in fact work in Thames Ditton, but it was as the overseas VP for an insurance software company called PMSC. I can assure you that he had nothing to do with AC or any other manufacturing or design firms. So it took 3 years, but there is your answer. My father had nothing to do with AC or Shelby, he just likes to weave very very tall tales.

Shelby.GT500
Umm something is not right here. RK, how did you even know that such a thread existed 3 years ago? If you saw this back then, why didn't you say anything? and why now?
OCD
Umm something is not right here. RK, how did you even know that such a thread existed 3 years ago? If you saw this back then, why didn't you say anything? and why now? He was probably googling his Dad's name... I tried it and this thread was the fourth link in the search... He then could have clicked on that link and it would have brought him right to this 3 yr old thread...
