07SGT4578
Made an appt. today at Quantum to get all my goodies installed. Headrest covers, center console cover, PIAA lights, Brake duct bezels, Shelby/Baer brakes, and they are also going to install the front brake ducts, and the rear brake ducts. :happy feet: :happy feet: Chris

07SGT4578
Congrats. What does the rear brake ducts look like? They are made of ABS plastic, and are about 18" long like a snorkel kindof, if im not mistaken. Jim Clark has them on his SGT, that is where I saw them. I think they are on the SS cars too. I really dont know what they look like, but if they help to keep the brakes cool who cares The only other option is to do brake ducts thru the quarter windows and down in to the interior or thru the package tray that I know of. Maybe Jim or someone else can post pics of theirs. Chris
SGT/SC2873
super! Know you are excited to get everything done. Be sure to post up pics once completed. Thanks, Craig :happy feet:
motorjock205
DANG! HVAC Business must be doing pretty good lately! LOL Glad you're getting it all done, just wish I was right there with you... Once you get those rear brake ducts, I'll bet you speed bumps are going to be your worst enemy...since the car already sits so low, they'll catch on speed bumps and rip them off if you are not very careful... I'd like to take my SGT out to the drive in movie once in a while, but the put in some killer speed bumps that the SGT would not make it over without some serious damage...Guy said I was only the second person to complain about them...oh well, guess I won't be going to the drive in any more...LOL Take care, and definately post pics when she's all done! P.S. Let me know if you need any help! Don't know anything about HVAC business, but always willing to learn....Ha Ha!

07SGT4578
mod shop only, you can not buy them seperately from SPP, I dont think. At least I have never seen them advertised.

Chris is correct - Mod Shop only so far. What I do not understand is, looking at them, they cannot be a difficult piece to produce yet they have not been. If you recall, the side scoops in the original GT350 grabbed the air for the rear brake ducts. I do not know if the construction of our cars allows that way of doing it. Imagine - functional scoops! 2007_Shelby_GT
It looks like they are not the lowest item on the car - are they above, say the front valance or the lower portion of the rear differential? It would seem like they would need to be at least as low as the front valance, if they aren't, I wonder how much air they actually grab? If I recall correctly, the GT350 side scoops worked, but didn't perform as well as expected due to airflow around the body of the car. As with our hood scoops, even if they didn't work, I'd still like to see ones that at least LOOKED like they are functional, not blocked off by a piece of plastic! Sam AKA: Talking to people they work to an extent just as the origionals in the '60s. They dont flow perfectly for the reasons you have posted above. The only way to do it and get enough air is to go through the rear quarter windows and through the interior and through the body to the wheel wells. They will work better than nothing at all I would suppose. you dont use the rear brakes as much anyway. I do however believe every little bit helps. William Rodgers
Very Nice, let me know what you think of the Headrest and Middle Console covers. I was going to send mine out to get done professionally, but obviously this route would be a lot cheaper.

Reino
The headrest and armrest covers are a must. The headrest covers can easily be placed on in your driveway but to get the armrest cover put on cost me $40 at a local car upholstry place. WELL worth the money. Chris, just wondering where you got your "TERLINGUA RACING TEAM" decals? Do you have connections or did you get them done at a local stripe shop? If done at a local shop do you know the font and size?

Chris, just wondering where you got your "TERLINGUA RACING TEAM" decals? Do you have connections or did you get them done at a local stripe shop? If done at a local shop do you know the font and size? I have a friend/customer/venor of mine that owns a sign company. They do comm. billboards all the way down to vinyl graphics for autos. They cost me 15.00 each. They are 2 1/4 inch letters with no idea what font they are. I measured Sharons at the BB and took a picture, took them to him and had a set made. If I could get my hands on the side sponsor decals, they would be on there too. I just have not found a source. I can get them from my guy or pirate in one color, but I want the ones just like on the T car minus the Vortech one. Chris EDIT: I should also prolly note that mine is not the 'Exact' size as on the T car, for copyright reasons, I closed the spacing between the words. It is about 3" or so shorter. I agree they are a must, I just am not sure if I want to buy covers or have them done. If you get them done you can pick your color thread and you can make the design your own. Then again the covers can come off and make the car original again. We will see.

Im not a huge fan of decals on the car either. I was more interested in the decal over the rear tires where TRT is written out, like on the Terlingua. Thanks for the link though. Its been awhile since Ive been there and I see they have a few new items. Chuck

My problem is I like the idea of being able to restore to original. I think I would try to get another set of headrests if I were to have them stitched therefore you could change them back. I dont know why I want to keep everything to restore it back someday as it will probably never happen. You should see the hugh box of bike parts I have taken off my H-D to replace with others. That box included pistons, cylinders, headers and exhaust to name a few. So far dont have any of that in my SGT parts box, yet.
2007_Shelby_GT
Not to hijack the thread, but: I'm no fan of stick-ons either! I couldn't find any "sheet" magnets, so I went to my local office supply and bought a package of 8.5 x 11 printable magnetic sheets. I'm able to design and print my own! Only drawback is they are NOT water proof, but since they are only on during sunny weather, it doesn't matter! I did order a couple of the Terlingua stickers and a few from SPP. I discovered that if I took that same printable magnetic sheet and soaked it in water for about 20 minutes, the printable paper slid right off! I then peeled and put the stickers on the magnetic sheet, pulled out the scissors and cut off the excess! Looks and works great! The magnetic sheet is so thin, it's almost like it's not there! A note of caution: Place the stickers on the side of the sheet that originally held the printable paper, otherwise, the magnet will not adhere to the car body! I have done this before. Also, remember if you guys go with magnets over stickers, the hoods on our cars are made of aluminum. Chris
