cgrwolf Posted February 12, 2009 Report Share Posted February 12, 2009 Hi, I've got a 2007 GT500 that's alloy with satin silver stripes and I need to replace some of the stripes. I have a friend that works at a decal shop and can get the 3M vinyl and can cut it for me, but we need the 3M color that's equivalent to Ford's satin silver. I searched the forum and found one posting about matching the tungsten stripes. Can anyone help me help out with the satin silver color? The 3M color appears to be "Satin Aluminum." 3M Scotchcal Electrocut Film 7725. I attached a photo of a true color sample to the existing stripes on the GT500. Close enough for me....My new stripes will be separated from the existing stripes by the rear glass. It appears the stripes fade a bit with age, so putting new stripes right next to older stripes might not be a good idea. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

EXPcustom Posted March 18, 2009 Report Share Posted March 18, 2009 The Ford stripes have a clearcoat over them. So if you mix and match stripes it will look different.
