Thanks.

Ouch.

Pretty substantial price increase...

It's $3,275 more than the 09 vert base MSRP ($51,225 vs. $47,950). Standard now on to 2010 that were options on the 09 are Ambient lighting ($295 MSRP on 09) and Premium Interior Trim ($595 MSRP on 09). Also, the 2010 has CAI, upgraded suspension, 3.55 gears and short throw shifter standard. By comparison, if you were to buy an 09 with Ambient Lighting, Premium Interior Trim and then add the FRPP Handling Pack ($1,749 MSRP) and the Drag Pack ($1,999 MSRP - 3.73 gears, CAI, shorty headers, short throw shifter and performance performance oil filter) you'd be at $52,588, versus $51,225 for the 2010, that's $1,363 more for the 09. Plus the 2010 has an upgraded clutch, upgraded Electronics package. Not exactly an apples to apples comparison (3.55 vs 3.73, shorty headers, does Handling Pack = 2010 suspension?, etc.), but all considered I think they're in line with each other. The 2010 might actually be a better deal IMO.

Good point Henry. :)

You could not have said it better Henry. As you know that was exactly the package I WAS LOOKING AT with all the goodies taht made me opt for the 2010 plus "no clutch hassles with a brand new car "

I agree with your math, the real question will be how far below MSRP they drop 2009s when the 2010 comes out. I've decided to wait for a 2010 vert but if some dealer has a good discount on a 2009, I oculd be persuaded.
