GT500-07
Moab/Mark, is this effecting your business? MIDLAND, Texas – In the West Texas oil patch, they can see the downturn coming at them from miles away like a pickup truck kicking up a dust cloud on the horizon. With crude dropping below $40 a barrel from a high of around $150 over the summer, oil and gas companies in the Lone Star State are cutting back on drilling, the layoffs are beginning, and the boom of the past few years appears to be drawing to a close. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090121/ap_on_...tdown_texas_oil
stump_breaker
It's up and down with the oil field. I remember when the oil bubble burst in the 80's and my step dad was suddenly without work. Tough times. You would think those buying oil in the USA would invest first in US companies during the slow times but that's not the way it works.
