Forged Aluminum wheels

Subect; 08 SGT #574 Coupe, 5 speed.

I have owned this car one year.

After much research on the internet sites I was preparing to purchase a set of

Shelby forged wheels (ALCOA). Even though I really preferred the American Racing GT5 single block - forged Aluminum GT5. The show stopper is that a set of (4) was ~$3900.00 US. OUCH!!

Well, my patience paid off as I purchased a set of GT5's on EBAY.

(2) 8.5 X 19

(2) 10 X 19

They are drop dead cool. Actually the GT5's are a top of the line product from Europe. American Racing bought the Italian company that produced these wheels and are very popular on high end/exotic sports cars.

Anyway, they were delivered in one day for a grand total of $1130.00 US.

This means I saved $2770.00. No sales tax. No shipping.

Brand new and double boxed for UPS shipping.

Next on the agenda, when weather permits, a drive to South Bend's Tire Rack for a set of rubber.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus (ultra high performance all-season)

245/45ZR19 front

275/40ZR19 rear.

I previously cam'd the car, headers/cats/Corsa, pullies, intake delete plates= 385 HP.

Now to get a set of you know what... the fog lights!!!

I have now converted the base SGT into a real Shelby. What do you all think?
