Congrats and enjoy. :happy feet: :cheerleader: ..mine was born today....how long did it take to get after it was produced...they told me week of 11/13....is that realistic based on what you experienced? I live in St. Louis and am getting a car from a small non-svt dealer also.....

Congrats. You will love the way it drives. EPA be damned, this car gives more smiles per gallon than just about anything else out there.

Edit: fat fingers.

Hell, blame the politicians, the EPA only publishes the test numbers

I am a lead investigator for the EPA over here in KC; just promise not to tell on me when mine gets modded and the cats are yanked (for testing and track use only of course) :hysterical:

LSR..........a hearty congratulations :beerchug:

Maybe the cardinals will come through tonight to commemorate the occasion :cheerleader:

Big thanks to all for the kind words, I just can't stop smiling. I will try to get pictures up this weekend.

bossreg, mine was serialized on 7-21-06, was built on 8-14-06 and released 8-21-06. It didn't arrive until 10-7-06. I was told that once it left the plant it went to another location Saleen affiliated to have stripes put on. It was also held up in the quality hold that pretty much held up many others pertaining to possible transmission/clutch problems. As for a eta, your could be sooner if no holds are put in place.

Thanks guys for the kind words. The car had 8 miles on it whenI picked it up. At the end of the day when it went into the garage it had 100 miles on it. The car is so amazing. Well worth my wait. The only thing I would do different is choose Blue w White.

LSR, do you have the Red inserts? How many other red GT500's in area? I hope not to many, cause there is about to be a transplant from Jersey. Mine has the inserts.

Blayne9067, no I didn't order the red inserts. And as for any other red GT500 in my area, there are three I know of and two of them are members on this site. I am sure there is more than that. Red w White is the most ordered color of the GT500.

I went to the last car show in my area last night at the local Johnny Rockets and there was another Red GT500 there. I saw one new Z06 and the rest where muscle cars & classics. The two GT500's seemed to draw the most attention.

..its a good looking car, and I don't think it will ever stop being an attraction. There are not a lot of them around, and many owners are going to keep them stuck away in a garage for the most part. I do a lot of driving around kansas city, and have yet to see one on the street. Keep having fun with yours!!!

Wow! Long wait. But well worth it I'm sure. Congrats, LSR. My black beauty rolls down the line next week (Halloween car! oooooh!)

I have to pick it up in Elwood, Indiana, so weather permitting, I should be cruising through ya'lls neck of the woods 'round Thanksgiving on my way to my parents in Rolla, MO. Hoping to take my old man with me as a memorable father/son road trip to pick up my first ever hot rod.
