EXPcustom
I really think the value of our GT500s is about to skyrocket since the new 2010 design of the Mustang is so damn ugly. No wonder the domestic car companies are going out of business. Ford should of capitalized more this body style by introducing a Boss and a Mach1, since they are so beurocractic it never happened. We are very lucky we got GT500s at all. Lets not forget the watered down Bullit. I have my flame suit on so please post away. :happy feet:
TurboGT
I think beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Having said that, I'm not a fan of the new design - perhaps because I think the current one is so damn good looking! I do agree that those of us that have already purchased one of these cars are soon going to be very glad they did. Automakers design focus is about to take a radically different direction. Wilmmr
Maybe it is just me but I like it. Not that I'm going to go out and buy one, there are 48,000 reasons that I have bought into the 09 look and will be happily seeing it every day for a few years at least before I trade. But I like the 2010, will check them out when they make it to the dealer.
DDT
I think alot will have to do with the stock HP #s from the factory might determine if the 2010 GT-500 is more popular???????????
ilmor
I need to see it in person - photos don't always do justice. I do think it will hold its own w/ the Camaro and Challenger, however. It still looks better than the Camaro in my opinion. It also has many nice improvements. It may grow on you. regalt87
I could do some great stripes on those new lines and also paint the rear diffuser and rocker. I like it. They have done worse in the past. go back 38 years.

Automakers design focus is about to take a radically different direction. I think the 05-09 body style had alot of "universal appeal" and I am just not seeing it with the new body style. Everyone I talk to loves the s197 body style. This newer body style seems to kind of have a overall meh consensus from everyone commenting on it. Maybe ugly is not the word to use more like its too damn mediocre...

EXPcustom
I am very curious to see if the sales of the new 07-09 GT500s will increase because of this as well over the next few months.

jdscooby
I secretly want Ford to go bankrupt and muscle cars to end forever so my Shelby becomes more special. I want to be special. I think with this economy the auto makers will have to go a different direction making cars. I have a feeling that the high horsepower cars will go to the wayside or at least dramatically decrease in numbers in the very near future. They will likely be truely limited runs in the future because no matter how bad the economy somebody will want one.
GT500Tow
I bought a Toyota FJ-40 land cruiser about 20 years ago. Old man own it. Still had hard top gas can on the back. It was just an ugly truck. Everyone said WTF did you buy that for....... Well 3 months later after installing, Wheels, Tires, Chrome tube bumpers, Lift kit, Lights, Tinted windows, Ect. I was told i had one of the baddest looking truck in town. I bought it for 4500 and sold it for 9800 two years later. So i look at cars and trucks different then most. I bet i can make this new mustang look sick, and i will. I'm buying one and i'll show you what it looks like when i'm done. I'd guess before its done someone will walk up and say. That's one of the best looking cars in town. I look at vehicles and try to imagine what it'll look like when I'm done and my new mustang will look sick. srk1959
I don't mind it but personally the 05 tru 09 is my favorite. 03 - 04 Cobra on my scale a 7 or 8 out of 10 05 - 09 a solid "10" 2010 about a 7 or 8 on exterior styling I guess just like back in the 60's and early 70's everyone had their favorite Mustang body style which is how it still is. They can't keep building the same car forever! So different people will have different favorites.
GT500Tow
testimony to the current model that it looks sick without any changes............. If your talking about the current v-6 or GT they don't like sick in my eyes... Now many have made them look sick. The GT500 has more or less a body kit and it looks good. But doesn't look sick till you add some mods.

idareu
On the speed channels coverage they did say something about the two s packages ford will have that will produce 400 and 500 Hp. The s stands for supercharged. They also said just wait until jan for a really big surprise from ford. I'm thinking we might see the first ever hybrid pony car. COBRA32
I think the 2010 is great looking and cannot wait for the 2010 GT500. I'am ready to trade the old GT500 in on the new one. The interior is just miles ahead of ours. They also improved the aerodynmics which means better performance.
