TJKII
Hi, I have a master cylinder that is leaking from around the seam where the 2 halves meet. I have read other forums where others are having the same problem. I was wondering if anyone here has the problem and what you have done about it? Is there a TSB regarding this issue. Thanks, Tom
NJJOE
Tom, Yes, most of have seen this and it is actually leaking around the cap. The FORD plant filled the tank too much and it overflows. Just take some fluid out of the tank and it should be fine. I also heard a few people that put teflon tape (Plumbers tape) around the opening to make the cap fit better. No TSB yet that I have seen. Thanks, Tom Tom: Go to the Forum "2005 + S197's" and click on it. On about the 3rd page there is a posting called "Any one with a S197 read this" . This is the thread that the problem was discussed. I followed some advise and posted what I did to fix the problem. Now my wifeys 2007 GT/CS does not leak. Check it out.
