Usually about a week or two before the scheduled build date. Get me the vin and I can probably get you a copy of the invoice. I'll need your email to send it to you. It will be in a pdf file. You can print it off.

I sent instructions how they can get it. Check your junk folder if you don't see it since aol might kick it out since it has an attachment added. Let me know if you got it OK. Sharp10Blade
My answers weren't good? Yea man, I got it. I sure appreciate that. Are you a dealer? Any reason that you can come up with that they would hold off on telling me that they have the invoice? They are holding off on submitting my credit application until they "have the invoice". If you have the invoice (and I now have the invoice) how can they NOT have it. Thanks.

If they submit it now and if something happens where the car does not arrive within 30 days they will have to resubmit it again because most credit approvals are only good for 30 days. And you really don't want to do the paper work until after the car arrives to insure it arrives OK with no damage. If you do the paper work before the car arrives and then there is something wrong with the car....too late! You're an owner and you are stuck with it. We never complete final paperwork until after the car is on our lot for that reason.

Is that something that only the selling dealership can get? I've mentioned it to my dealer several times with no luck getting it yet. It is driving me nuts! Dealers can only access their own inventory that shows that type of info. They can't access it if it is in another dealers inventory. You have to be the ordering dealer that ordered the vehicle to be able to access that.
ShelbyDude
Perhaps Ford Motor Company should just recruit me to go around to every dealership in the country to train everyone how to get this info and train their salespeople on how important it is to learn their products and especially use the proper terminology on what these cars are called so they don't all come off as uneductated salespeople when dealing with the public when the public knows what the proper terminology is. For example, I see numerous dealers referring to the Shelby GT as being a GT350 or calling it a baby shelby. LOL Educate them on getting involved with car sites such as this one and learning more about what consumers want, what they think of dealers, the type of misinformation dealers give out that piss their consumers off, etc. Maybe if they knew how to pull up a lot of this info and knew how important it is to properly educate themselves better and knew how important it is to get more involved with consumers on car sites then just maybe they can make a difference in changing the way some consumers feel about dealers in general. Maybe they would learn to realize consumers are becoming more educated then they are on particular vehicles. Dealers all have a Ford rep but they don't sit down and educate the dealership employees on this stuff. I think that would actually be a fun job to have! :happy feet:

ShelbyDude
\ You can always put your resume out there. I guess I will just have to continue to wait. In your experience, how accurate are estimated time of arrival dates? For the most part they are right on within a couple of days from the time they are actually shipped. Yours shows 12 days transit time which would be 12 days from the time it actually left MI. Unless there is some kind of delay along the way it should arrive within 10 - 14 days from the time it left. They told me that when all the parameters are correct such as: 1. The days they build GT500's. 2. The color paint they will be using for the day. 3. After the car is built, it will be shipped to Las Vegas. 4. Etc...etc...etc Now after being on this forum, talking to ShelbyDude and visiting Dearborn, I found all that information that the dealerr was feeding me full of was nothing more than BS. I should go back there and sue them for impersonating a sales person and this was the guy that was putting my order into the system. It's a wonder he knew how to do that after all the bull he fed me. Listen to ShelbyDude, he knows what he is talking about. BTW...nice meeting you SD in Dearborn. Now I have a face to go with the name.

Dealers are not the only ones that are misinformed. I had to educate our Ford rep on these as well! When I called on our 09 I was waiting on he said they were on hold because of the hoods! WRONG!!! The KR's were on hold because of the hoods, not regular GT500's. Then he was trying to tell me all Shelbys are shipped to Vegas to SAI. WRONG! Only the SGT and KR's are shipped to SAI. All regular GT500's are shipped straight to the dealer from Ford. He did not know that! So I guess part of the problem here is dealers are getting wrong information from their Ford reps. A lot of dealers don't completely understand the process on these or what is going on with the Shelbys. Most only get one car per model year so they probably don't bother to learn much more about them. I get lots of calls from other dealers asking me for information on these all the time. Some dealers give limited access to certain things while others may give their salespeople more access to other things. Their administrator at the dealership in charge of setting them up with access has to select certain sections to allow them to have access to certain areas. If he does not have access his sales manager should and they can access that section and get your railcar number.

Hi there, You can get your shipping details from the guys on the Blue Oval Forums. The site is run by actual Ford employees so they're able to look up the Ford system for this info, and much more. They did for me, which enabled me to track the train's progress via the web :happy feet: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?showforum=
