Shelby, Lexus, = stock options

I figured the board needs another comical relief since tempers are edgy. The following is absolutely true. In the last two weeks, internal pressure is brewing in my household since finding out I'll be taking delivery of the most material thing I've ever wanted, in my GT 500. I sense huge dark clouds that could create hell or even worse, a level of purgatory. My wife wants a new car too, I tried the "you drive the Shelby for awhile until we get yours", that didn't work at all. So the bottom line is I've got to rearrange the universe to make all this work or it'll wind up on Epay in three weeks.

So you all can follow my pain and adventure, here is my solution. I'm a Qubeologist, ok a option specialist, I trade only in indexes, mainly the QQQQs, it represents the NASDAQ 100 stocks. I trade dealing with using a technical approach 80% of the time, fundamentals the other 20 when the moons are aligned. I've just made one hell of a bet that the market will decline in the next 3 1/2 weeks, the QQQQs now are trading at 40.71. It's the end of the quarter this week, Dow trying to hit records, all indicators pushing the envelope. If the market keeps on climbing starting Mon. and doesn't look back, hello EBay. QQQQs decline to 39, I'll have to dance pretty damn good, at 38, I can sleep on the couch, at 37 I'm strutting, at 35.52 before Oct 21, I walk on water and she'll be driving a Lexus and me in the Shelby.

No flames on taking the milk money away, this is my money from private mad accounts.

Wish me luck, Lutzcat

Ah, with 80% on technicals, you and I differ. I believe in the semi-strong market efficiency theory. I'm not a speculator, so I can see you are more of a risk-taker. 3 1/2 weeks is very short term...who knows what can happen. Can you settle before expiry on that option? What is the combined Beta of those 10 stocks? Hopefully it's negative. :hysterical:

I work in corporate finance, so I'm a bit familiar with your discussion. Perhaps you should picket outside of one of our beloved dealerships (oft-talked about here...but I don't DARE mention their name), since any damage to their business could affect the general economy to your advantage. :hysterical:

Good luck.

I don't trade in individual stocks, only the index options, QQQQs, very little regional banks (RKH) and biotech sector (BBH) and that is it. The Qs are the most liquid of all, I'm in very close to the money so I can bail anytime, unless there's one hell of a gap up, then it could be all up in smoke. On the fundamentals issue, If I relied only on 6 month charts, combined with RSI, relative strength and scholastics, I'd have alot more money now. Watch what happens next week in the markets, good news, bad news, there's a 75% chance next week will be down., maybe that week will buy her a Yugo. It's just blackjack with better odds. LOL
