sudden
Eveytime I get in traffic it seems that the Shelby does not like being behind another car. It kind of feels kranky when behind another car. I just wants to be ahead in the open. I try to comm it down but it just gets more and more kranky. Is it just my shelby or is it the breed that CS puts in it? SUDDEN>
ShelbyDude
It isn't so much the Shelby wants to be out in front. The Shelby just wants to go and has zero patience and no tolerance for Sunday drivers moving along at 5 - 15 mph below the speed limit!!! If I were a traffic cop I would not have time to chase down speeders because I would be to busy writing thousands of tickets for obstruction of traffic and failure to drive at a safe speed! motorjock205
Hmmmm I always considered anything below 80 MPH as being slow and hindering traffic anyway...
Glenn&Steph
My SGT's act the same way. They get very "Edgy" and want to run over the car in front. It happen yesterday on the way to a business meeting. I really had to pull it back like a wild horse ready to run.

Matt N.
Some of it may be other drivers slowing down to look at your car. Two kinds of traffic congestion I've had to get used to when driving the Shelby... People intentionally trying to slow down / speed up to get beside you and take a better look / listen. Kind of freaked me our the first time I noticed a mini-van intentionally pull right up to my rear quarter, open their window, and just hang out there for a while in traffic. These folks know this breed of horse and are walking up to the fence to admire it. Kids on sport bikes or in sport compact cars (civics on NO2, etc) pulling either beside or intentionally slowing in front of you. They've come for a different reason... These folks may not know the history of the breed but it sure looks like a fast horse; and they are hoping you'll let it run for a stretch. FiaCobra
It's the Shelby DNA fellas. Same thing happens to my GT500.....she doesn't like others around her whilst on the road.
mciarochi
My nephew races Mitsubishi's, and I let him take it out. He came back really impressed. His exact comment was, "It doesn't like driving behind other cars, that's for sure!"
ejrail
My SGT has been that way since day one. I think it's in the DNA but it might have to do with avoiding rock chips on the nose and now showing off the new Cobra gas cap on the rear. However, it is never too edgy to sit still in a parking lot to accept praise from admirers. My SGT has also been known to pose for pictures and even open it's hood to show off the billet aluminum items resting there.
ilmor
During my Lime Rock trip last weekend, my Shelby GT became very impatient when it caught up to a guy in a Volvo doing 40 on a 50 mph road. As soon as the first passing zone came up, dang if she didn't downshift to 3rd like a flash and blow by that guy like he was standing still!!! I had to lay on the brakes to slow her down. How am I going to teach this car any manners???
yellow pony
Same problem here. It seems like the SGT is a magnet which attracts all sorts of slow moving people and vehicles. Everytime I get an opening I find I quickly come up on a tractor, Prius, or some other slow moving vehicle. I never seem to have this much trouble in my daily driver! twobjshelbys
Mine is a natural born leader. Wants to be first and leading others to the end of the line. Especially now. Explanation forthcoming...
Jimmy Sugan
I have only owned my Shelby GT for 1 week. Already put 300+ miles on it. I thought it was just me, but this car say's Move B----, Get Out The Way. My other Mustang's never had this feeling. I,m glad I am not going nuts, and everyone else is getting the same feeling. MoTheDigitalDiva
yep, i agree with all of these comments. sometimes i wish shelby made an electronic sign with a truck horn to attach to the front of my baby (i also wish i could put a full body cage on her - twobjshelbys i'm looking at you) so when someone is being inconsiderate by simply being in front of me (don't they know who we are?) i could send a loud clear message. my husband doesn't even enjoy driving her anymore because it gets so frustrating being behind other cars.
