Yes, My dealer just got a letter last week for his allotment They will normally come approx 3 months prior to 1/4 allotment it is for. In other words dealers whose allotments are going to be in 1st 1/4 of 2007 should be getting their letters this week or next.
06ragtopGT
Some are getting the letters stating Q2 of 2007 so I was wondering if Ford was sending the letter to cover all of the 07 production year.
ole1bus
Some are getting the letters stating Q2 of 2007 so I was wondering if Ford was sending the letter to cover all of the 07 production year. My letter states Q2. Not specific if it is 2006, 2007, or 2007 model year. I think I will give any hope of seeing mine. I will keep reading posts of the lucky ones. rpretzel
This whole letter thing is starting to concern me. My dealer specifically said I should see mine in Q2 of the 2007 model-year. He then clarifies this by saying I should see it before then end of November. After reading all these posts, I'm starting to think my dealer my have misinterpreted the letter, and I'll actually get mine in Q2 of the 2007 calendar-year. My dealer gets a letter from the regional rep, and I still have no idea as to when I should expect delivery. What's the real deal?

Alloy Dave
When does quarter 2 start October , November??????? Since production started in June, I'd say June/July/August was Q1, and Sept/Oct/Nov would be Q2.
ColdwaterHotrod
Since production started in June, I'd say June/July/August was Q1, and Sept/Oct/Nov would be Q2. In the production plants where I worked that is the correct logic behind their madness & scheduling. ....give that man a beer! But remember each model & plant can be different by a month or two but this is usually the norm Q3 December 06/January 07. Febuary07 Q4 March 07/April 07/ May07 which is the end of the 2007 MY run for all Mustangs (MY =Model Year for the newbies) The 1st week of June in 2007 marks the start of the new model year (2008's) at the Mustang plant

Marc@Kentucky
Since production started in June, I'd say June/July/August was Q1, and Sept/Oct/Nov would be Q2. Here you go. Sorry guys, I don't see any way that this references "model year" given that there was no 2006 model year for the GT500. 06ragtopGT
Thanks Marc/Kentucy. What is select dealer allocation. Is that a term for everyone receiving a second (or third) car or is that a term for a special unique allocation? (ie. sold alot of 5-06 Mustangs) Or is this just Ford trying to get all small dealers their 1 car as promised before year end? This also makes mention of the drawing. Is this your dealers 1st car? Yes, this is his first and only allocation. He mentioned a lottery as well in regards to small dealer allocations.
mkbehm
My non svt/PA called me last week and said mine would be built in the 4th qtr. The next day he called back and said it would be scheduled the week of Oct. 2nd with a build date of late Oct. and a delivery of early Nov. It would seem a little early of a delivery w/ a late Oct. build date, but would love to get a 50th bithday gift Nov. 14th Thoughts?

Cool, calm, collected, peaceful rpretzel is dead. Let us never speak of him again. Machine Gun Kitty is a cruel mistress. But seriously though, this letter thing really pushed me over the edge. First getting the news of the "letter" lifted me out of the quagmire of disgust I was mired in. Now, after all this talk, my happy place was overrun with cockroaches of doubt and misery, and I have again plummetted down into the abyss. A moment of silence for the passing of peaceful rpretzel please.

Regain senses just in time to accept delivery of your new shelby. :happy feet: your discussion of cockroaches of doubt and misery completely took me out of my happy zone. Just no way to even begin to say anything about that other than,,,,,,pass the prozac please just think, next spring after we all are driving shelbies, we will have a hard time believing that we had this much psds. machine gun kitty will however, remain a classic
