Sudguy4
I really hope you will be able to buy the car back....think of this way....if you buy it back, it has a salvage title, so make it your daily driver....drive the stew out of it, enjoy it, and use the other one as a show queen! Just an idea...nothing like having a daily driver GT500 that you aren't too worried about getting a little wear when you know you have a pristine one to show! Airborne4162
You should contact the Detective who worked this case and ask what it would take to have the car given back to the Police agency who recovered your stolen under the Crime Prevention program. Make it their "Bat Car" and use it to prove to others that crime doesn't pay. There are many like programs were the insurance companies, working in conjunction with law enforcement (and your State Attorney General Office) can work something out making it property of that City and State. You already have a nice Red (probably no transmission issue) Shelby...pass this one on to them and take a bit out of crime. Airborne

Be cautious about salvage titles. many states will not allow the vehicle on the roadway again as thier interpretation of a salvage car is parts only and under no circumstances can that ever be changed. Clerify the status before you buy.
