STSVT
Excuse my ignorance on this subject, but i have not bought aftermarket rims in a long time. What are you guys doing with the tire pressure monitors when you swap to differend rims other than the factory wheels. Can you just remove them and reinstall them on your aftermarket rims such as the Shelby razor rims or any others. Also what style or kind of rim balancing weights have you guys/ gals been using i would suppose it would be the stick on style. The tire shop in my area always says to hammer on those ugly outdated lead weights that will damage the outer lip of the rims.I would never let them do that to new custom wheels they must be crazy. I need to find a more high tech modern tire shop . Thanks for any info
pagerart
I guess a lot of people reuse the sensors and just buy the bands to hold them on. I wanted to keep my old wheels intact so I purchased sensors on ebay. They seem to be working fine, but after a couple of weeks I started getting a warning. I purchased the reset tool for around $20 on line and followed the procedure for resetting the system. Since then all is fine. As for weights, my tire shop used stick on weights on my razors.
