wildosvt
I thought they put the inflation kit in because Ford does not have a spare the correct size to clear the front brakes? But Im sure weight did have a major impact on that option (if they have a space saver the correct size) coming to production. Look at the shaker 1K. Mark25
Pray you're not going through the "bad" part of town when you get a flat...similar to the Corvette Z06s...at least the regular Corvettes have "run flats."

Richard
It's a good thing Ford offers 24 hour road side assistance for 5 years/60000 miles this year.
Five Oh B
Ford's Roadside Assistance will send someone out to put your spare on the car so you can continue on your way and get to a service station (or tire center these days) to actually repair the tire. What is Roadside Assistance gonna do if your car (i.e. GT500) does not have a spare tire? They are not coming to you to actually repair your tire!!! Richard
I don't want that crap in a can in my tire, I want towed in for a new tire! And no, I don't expect the dealer to provide me with a free tire.

VNMOUS1
B)--> QUOTE(Five Oh B @ Sep 24 2006, 10:35 PM) 45782[/snapback] Ford's Roadside Assistance will send someone out to put your spare on the car so you can continue on your way and get to a service station (or tire center these days) to actually repair the tire. What is Roadside Assistance gonna do if your car (i.e. GT500) does not have a spare tire? They are not coming to you to actually repair your tire!!! They're going to flat bed tow your car to a dealership. Uh...folks....step away from the 5w-50 for a minute and let's think. Ford did not include a spare with this car for one reason....and it wasn't weight, but that's the "marketing" answer and most everyone buys into it. They didn't include one because it has two different tire sizes! Which one would you prefer they include? Huh? bj
Gerry Chase 1128
One thing that has improved over the last several years is tire quality. How many flats have you changed on the side of the road lately or have seen anyone else changing? If it is that important, buy a rim and tire combo which will work for either the front or back and store it where the fix a flat is in the car.
