SicShelby
I posted in the tech forum about if anyone was running cut outs on their GT500. This might be a more "visible" thread? So far I've gathered that it might not be the best idea because of the tuning issues and whatnot while running the cut outs open. I've found plenty of threads concerning exhaust, but nothing so far that specifically touches on actual cut outs. Anyone have anymore feedback? What are your thoughts? Thanks, Gabe

SicShelby
You talking about gated headers? If so, you would probably have to have a separate tune for them Mmmm no not headers... they're basically a weld in that you can put on the exhaust. Electric ones basically open a "valve" that closes the flow from going to the mufflers, to going out the valve. If they're manual then basically they look like a "Y" type deal. If you unbolt the covers then exhaust flows out the valves the same way - the only difference is whether you flip a switch to make it happen... The cut outs are generally placed after the cats to avoid check engine lights, ha ha. Same concept though.
