Lookin sharp buddy. You'll have a date by the end of the week for sure! :happy feet:

BTW...nice lake in the background...you must live on the water.

Thanks for the compliment. Hopefully new year, new ladies!

About the water, it's actually the caloosahatchee river.

It goes from the gulf to lake okeechobee

I'm in the 2,300 range right now I'm pretty sure

and yes I'm 15 and a sophomore in high school

Wow, I think you are the youngest GT500 owner on the site. :happy feet:

What age can you get a drivers lic. in your state?

Here in WA you must be 15-1/2 to get a learners permit.

Here in Fl you can get a learner's permit at 15 yrs and at 16yrs will allow you to drive to school only by yourself without an adult http://www.flhsmv.gov/ddl/teendriv.html#learner....man, at 15 I was using my 'Chevrolegs" to get to school.....nice ride for a high school student....keep yourself out of trouble...most high school students are into the imports, nice to see some young blood into the American Iron!!!!

Good luck with the new school year!!!!

That is one sweet ride for the upcoming proms in your junior senior years! Congrats! And please put her in the garage like the other posting said...Tropical Storm Fay is creeping closer! Be Safe Everyone in Florida! I am hunkered down right now in the Charlotte County EOC (SW Florida gulfside where Hurricane Charley came in 2004) awaiting the storm and upcoming recovery efforts (which I hope are very little).

Your getting close. Are you going to get a break on your ins. for getting 3.0 GPA ?

I ask this because my son is 14 and he can only work on his car right now, and when he gets old enough to drive it, if his grades are not 3.0 GPA....the car stays parked.

Here's my son's 1996 GTS with just over 28K miles on it.

Good for you on the grades. Keep up the good work, and obey the speed limits. Over here in WA state if you go over 5-10 MPH it's ticket time....and the discount goes out the window just like a puff of smoke.

08' Blue, your car looks great, but please be careful driving it to school. I'm not saying that because you can't handle the car (with 2,300 miles you must have figured out how the car behaves by now), I'm saying that because of the jealious idiots that may vandalize your car in the parking lot while your sitting in class.

I'm not trying to be a rain cloud over your head, but when I think back about the idiots that I attended school with, I just felt that I should mention something to you about keeping your car protected from the A-holes that don't have the same GPA and benefits that you do.

Maybe you can convince your school to let you park in the faculity parking lot; just a thought.

I take good care of my car but that makes mine look dirty!

From what I've heard about you, your son must definitly take after you alot!

Has your dad showed you how to change the oil and where to place the jacks on the car and how to make sure it's safe before you get under it?

This is all very importand stuff and it teaches you how to care for the car.

Believe me, I can think of two kids off the top of my head that are jealous of me.

In all honesty it isnt my fault that parents are well off and you shouldnt not like me for that fact

It's just stupid, especially on the first day of school the kid steals your planner and lunch seat and tells you to do something about it

Unfortunatly I have to much to lose in school and it wasnt worth my time

The back parking lot has cameras but still I'm worried.

I might look into installing a camera myself or something

I learned how to change the oil on a 1993 Isuzu Rodeo which is the car I learned stick on

After the first dealer oil change I'm going to do it myself

My dad's friend showed me the jack points when we jacked up my car to take the wheels off and clean the inside.

So far I'm on a decent track but I would definitly like to know more about my car

If you're worried, then don't take it to school. Considering what you just posted about your planner and lunch seat, then you also know that it's inevitable that someone will screw with your car, and after that happens, you are going to be both hurt and angry. Have you installed a locking gas cap on it? There's one available through FoMoCo and I recommend that you get one for your car.

But the bottom line here is that you should really sit down with your folks and talk to them about this issue and your concerns about it.

And don't rely on those damn parking lot cameras. They don't have the best resolution, and even if they are able to capture someone messing with your car, so what? The objective should be to not put the car in a position that will get it harmed and you pissed off that it got damaged.

Please give this some serious thought.
