Black out headlight and tail lights

Recommended Posts

I think it looks good on the black car. Have you looked at doing the yellow directionals too?

I am thinking about the clear/silver all around. I saw that they even sell the yellow directional lenses and the red markers in clear/silver. Not sure if I'll do it but might be cool!

I first saw this treatment on an SGT at ShelbyFest 2008. A very sleek appearance, it looked great, your's does too. However, I have my reservation on the loss of illumination at night, both front and rear.

What about those:

With this, it is not completely blacked out and the reflection might be better. In additon, no logo. This would look awesome on black SGTs.

However, i do not know if they will hold on with years...

Anyone have those?

I think I would like to do a slight tint with static material and also add the splitters in front

Don't worry Mac, the covers will come off if I need to drive at night. Just a little hook and loop tape, really easy to do. Mainly just a car show thing.

I can't see your pictures due to lack of bandwidth. I first saw what looked like blacked-out / smoked taillights on the Super Snake prototype. It was a youtube video where they were loading it up on enclosed semi-trailer and they looked great, along with the sequential tailights when the driver was hittting the brake. I think it depends on the color. I don't think they would look good on the vista blue but they looked great on the red. Perhaps Michael Morris can confirm if the SS has blacked out taillights or if it was just the prototype.

You're a smart man, good luck at the shows.
