Shelby GT-H Verts Going to Auction

GT500-07

Recommended Posts

In the second year of the Shelby/Hertz collaboration, five hundred convertible versions of the Shelby GT-H Mustang were built.

Those cars are starting to come out of service now and the first 25 examples are going to Kruse International's Monterey, CA, auction in one week's time.

I saw a 'vert yesterday at SAI and the Shelby Cafe. I think it was #98 but can't swear to it because I didn't think to take a picture of the badge or write it on the back of my hand.

It looked like it had been rode hard and put up wet. It was all dusty/dirty and the stripes by the trunk were scuffed. At SAI in the lot the top was up and it was in good shape. The top was down at the cafe.

Whose is it?

Kruse Auction in Marina CA verts went for about 37,000 to 38,000 at least for the three I watched.

06 #375 went for 43,000 Never mentioned forty anniversary (1966-2006 badging) This car never was rented according to the auction.

Just FYI, 1966 GT 350 (blue with white Le Mans) went for 155,000. I think it had a poor restoration which was done two years ago. Not a GT 350 H.
