mr ford
Had nothing to do this evening so figured I'd put the shifter in. Install is a piece of cake. Took 45 min on jack stands. All you need is a 10mm,13mm 1/4 sockets and ratchet..18mm,10mm,13mm,15mm 3/8 ratchet and 6'' extention and a small flat blade screw driver...Pull up shifter trim remove two 13mm shift knob bolts... Up on stands loosen and slide back x-pipe to tail pipe clamps and let exaust hang. Remove the four trans crossmember bolts and let trans hang down... Remove two center drive shaft carrier flange bolts and let shaft hang down in center..Remove two shifter mounting bolts at floor.. Pop the two clips at the trans mounting points... With 1/4'' ratchet and 10mm socket reach up and remove 10mm bolt from shift rod at transmission..Slide the entire shifter down the trans tunnel to where center of drive shaft is hanging down and remove...Reinstall in reverse order..Use a floor jack to push the trans back up to install crosmember bolts.... just that simple. shel-b001
Is there any adjustment to be made to the shifter after it is installed?
mr ford
Is there any adjustment to be made to the shifter after it is installed? There are no adjustments.... The FRPP shifter is almost duplicate to the stock shifter.. The only differance is the length of the shift throw.

esc
Didn't I see those same instructions on the Ford Racing Performance Parts web page? I down loaded and printed them to refer to as I was doing my install! Just don't recall for sure where I found them!
mrdci
Anyone know if they they have to disco the driveshaft for the TSB for the 07s. Maybe we can cut a deal and have the shifter installed while they do the update.
gassman
How far off the ground did you have to get to have room to install the shifter And what jack stands did you use?
