S197 Double A-Arm Suspension

Recommended Posts

Interesting! But didn't car designs evolve from a-arm suspensions to struts for some good reason? I thought it was lighter weight and better handling, but maybe that's true for the street but not the race track? Calling all experts!!

It's cheaper and easier to manufacture. It also provides more under-hood room (I'd guess that last one is a big factor with all the FWD/transverse cars being made).

Once it's in, it's more expensive to maintain, has harsher ride, and handling is not as good. But, hey, it's easier to manufacture, and that's what's important to you, right?

BTW - We sell these (ALL Agent 47 products) :)

This part typically has a 6 week lead time (built to order). They list it on their web site as in stock right now though. :)

Page, do you know if this system is lighter then the stock suspension? And does A47 offer any rear suspension options?

The system is roughly the same weight as the OEM suspension. Handling is VASTLY improved though.

No rear suspension options at this time - but there will be right after SEMA :)

Hope this helps some

Thanks

Thanks Page, they are also working on a new K memeber to lighten up the front end. Sound's like some good winter mods.

UGH, the more I enjoy the track stuff and see more track products, the more I want a purpose built track car. But there is no money or wife equity for that.

Page, how much is this system?

Are ya ready - $3495 :)

Give me a call and lets get one going :)

EDITED TO CORREC PRICE - 7/31/08. Sorry :(
